I know I've asked before. My older dog's 7th birthday is today. I bought him some treats. He liked them. Which is good. He can be sort of picky sometimes. Do you guys celebrate your pet's birthday. Like getting them extra or special treats, new toys, or going somewhere special?

Also, do you celebrate other holidays with them?

My dog died but we used to give him treats/and or rawhide. He loved rawhide and tennis balls.

I have a friend who throws a cookout on her dogs birthday since it's in the middle of suummer.

Mine are March and November, so I usually can't do that. Especially with weird weather. But I always wanted to have a dog party. Or pet party, tbh. They have some pet friends. And I always wanted to try to get them all together. My yard isn't huge, but it's big enough for a bunch of dogs to run around and play a little...

All of mine are rescues. All we know is one was born in July.

No, we don't have any idea when they were born. We give them Christmas presents though, and we used to give our old dog a birthday present on Christmas too since we knew that he was born on Christmas. The presents are just stuff like a new chew toy or bones or something like that. It's always cute because our young dogs will play with their toys for a ittle while and the oldest always goes and takes his bone behind the couch to eat in peace.

You could always give them a date. I got mine during an event by the SPCA. I was there to help. And ended up adopting one while there. He was young. And they said he was about 3 months and had a birth date. It might not have been right. But that's when we celebrate it. My younger dog I got from the shelter. And they also gave him a birth date. Might not be right, but probably close. According to the dates, he is exactly 1 year, 8 months younger (20 exact months since date is 13th for both).

Mine are like that, too. Younger one plays with the toys. The older one walks away to eat his treat alone. Haha. After he's done, he'll come back because he wants attention, though...

Somewhat. Not a big party or anything, but they get special treats and stuff.

No. We didn't know when our dog was born as he was adopted, but we gave him presents on Christmas. He died a while back.

We also don't know when our cat was born as he was adopted from mom's friend who had to leave the state. We gift him stuff on Christmas, too.

I didn't even know my dogs birthdays. But even if I did, nah I don't even celebrate mine other than maybe getting drunk but I do that whenever I feel like anyways so it's not really anything special.

Christmas does seem to be one thats lots of people do.

They have dog beer. I believe its non-alcoholic. But they might like the taste.

When I have an animal companion or family member I tend to celebrate a year of their life, sure. Sometimes that means a special treat, and sometimes it means a new toy that may last at least a little while.

I once had a cat who liked watching movies about anthropomorphized animals, or the like, so I celebrated one year by watching the first few "Planet of the Apes" movies. I miss that cat - CJ.

I don't know my cat's actual birthday, but I tend to use the approximate one I've given her as an excuse to buy her new things.

Not really. I don't even know my cat's exact birthday so I just put it the same day as mine since it's very close.

I give him a raw beef bone for his birthday and Christmas. Not too expensive and he love it. Also if he has damaged one of his toys beyond usability (which he tends to do every few months) I'll give him a new one.
