No idea if anyone else is excited about this, but apparently Ed Boon is going all out. A bunch of pseudo-celebrities and cosplayers have been invited to this. It should be pretty interesting.

Basically X involves Shinnok's invasion of earth and the characters fighting to stop it. Both somewhat soon after 9 and then a timeskip later as well.

I mean they literally made a convention and stage show out of it, yet revealed what you would have gotten out of a normal reveal trailer

Yeah I feel a bit let down too. I was hoping to see more. Barely anyone got confirmed and I feel like they could have at least mentioned some more kharacters that would be in it. It's not like they have a year's worth of time to reveal more about the game. They have three months, and I don't think there are enough events in that time to promote and save kharacter reveals for.

I mean, the game looks awesome and I'm still excited... But you couldn't hook us up a bit?

Also, Skarlet looks kinda lame now. I know they probably want to get rid of all the stripper outfits, but I just don't like this design choice. Hopefully the customization can fix that though!

Like, if they had just cut that down into like a 5 minute trailer and put it on their Youtube, it'd have been perfect

But when you hype it up that much and act like it's this huge thing and then basically go "Here's 5 characters, a system you expected to be in it from MK10/Injustice, and then some kind of story okay bye" and it's so close to release, it's a bit of a disappointment compared to how they hyped it up.

Ive always been a huge mk fan but that was a shitty reveal.

We knew about ronda months ago so it wasnt a huge reveal. Especially basically confirmed the news herself.

No real look at sub zero sadly.

Sonya, skarlet and baraka are sooooo boring. None of them interest me. Tho its an interesting choice to bring Skarlet back. Thats pretty random.

Probably means no Nitara or Sareena as skarlet seemed to be a mish-mash of both.

Also Geras seems too much like Tremor.

Fatalities that we saw were fairly....meh.

The stream is still going for another 3 hours! They've got a pro player exbibition, plus a show floor that apparently has a bunch of cool stuff on it.

This event was for the press and invitees as much as it was for the fans watching. They decided to do something cool for their celebrity fans and content creators instead of just releasing a 5 minute trailer.
