Kicking off the next block of 50 songs is an appearance from a band that has not had anything ranked yet. In actuality I only like 2 of their songs and I do believe they are both in the ranking... yep. Just double checked and I've only got this one and then another that I guess I can call my favorite. These guys definitely had the potential to be one-hit wonders imo. I don't know much about the band or really care to learn anything to display here. I'm pretty much dropping this ranking atm just to avoid my topics purging. Sorry for the short write-up.

Write-Up:
The 3rd Fuel song to come down the line and probably one of the better known tracks from the band. This blew up the radio in the summer of '98. It always makes me think of the vegetable farm I worked at my senior year while I listened to a popular rock station in my area in the barn and they always seemed to play this constantly. It's a decent jam and the melody is good but I don't quite have it in a category where I can sing to it any time. I do like the acoustic version pretty well but not as much as the full version. The first time I had heard of the band Fuel was actually when I had received Sunburn in a pile of random cd's I got from BMG. At the time Alternative Rock was in it's prime imo and I had considered this track amongst the finest. Obviously now years later, I kinda just appreciate it as it is when I hear it randomly. I think I only have it included on a couple of my music playlists on my laptop.

Uhhgh! /:( Another annoying ranking placement! Two things 'bugged' me here, first the fact that I can't rank the Buggles version here and second the fact that I CAN'T RANK THE BUGGLES version here!!! Like wtf, I seriously had no idea that they were not the original performers of this song. It's like everything I knew about my childhood is all wrong lol. I made it my entire life believing that these dudes were the fathers of New Wave so imagine my surprise when I completed my research in this ranking to find out that they are total frauds! :( You know... I think I'll continue the rest of my life making pretend this version does not exist. No offense Bruce Woolley. The Buggles at least were know for the very first MTV music video appearance. Here is what I'd have given The Buggles version anyway: [9.2][9.3][8.1][10.3][8.1][8.1][8.1] = [61.2] = [8.742] ...which would have placed it around 300th in the ranking.

Best Version IMO:

Write-Up:
It's always funny how you can hear music and be taken back to a certain year or a certain point in your life that has some significance in how you came to be the person you are. For anyone that grew up in the 80's you'll know what I mean but man there were just so many songs in the 80's that could impact the way I saw life around me. So many of the tunes were great back then and in the age of one-hit-wonders it sure seemed like everyone had their own masterpiece. This is great love song and can really set the mood in a variety of situations. Carmen recorded this song exclusively for the release of Dirty Dancing which is perhaps one of the most famous dancing themed movies. It is commonly found among Top 200 Soft Rock song lists and as you can see made that achievement here as well. (It's probably around the Top 40 or so Soft Rock songs here imo but I won't know for sure until the ranking is over when I can look at the completed spreadsheet)

Write-Up:
Some of you might immediately recognize this song if you've ever watched the finale of Breaking Bad but for everyone else it's likely that you've never even heard this song. It was kind of amazing how this song had it's best sales in history following that show tbh. I heard it before the show because of my older brother being such a 70's rock/pop nut growing up. The beat is decent and the main riff is super catchy. I don't like the segway though since it changes the tempo of the song dramatically imo but thankfully the segway isn't that long. This is the last song in the ranking by the band and thus the best song of theirs imo.

Band: Electric Light Orchestra
Album: Face The Music

Write-Up:
Here is a change of pace for those that have been following along. It isn't the first Orchestral track but it is our last and probably one of my favorite in the genre and from none other than ELO. My local amusement park has a ride called the Astrosphere which is basically an indoor carousel but they darken the room and light up the ceiling like an observatory while they blast this to the rhythm of some strobe lights and surprise images. It's kinda neat because I've been taking the kids there every year and they always change the images that they flash on the ceiling. If you aren't paying attention you can miss them though which makes for interesting conversation when you get off the ride. My kids are always like "Dad, did you see the rabbit!" lol. Anyway, yeah. This is one of the only times in which I appreciate a song that is so inconsistent in tempo and melody.

Write-Up:
I'm sort of disappointed that this song is so high but at the same time I think it's a completely fair score that I've given it. I didn't quite expect it to be above a 7 but alas here it is. I of course chose this song as I did so many from the decade to flesh out the list. I truly did have a hard time finding favorites from this generation of tunes. It's not that I think the music is terrible, it's just that there is barely anything that I'd call lasting or memorable. Even as I sit here I cannot recall the main riff of this song without actually hearing it... oh yeah, this song. The chorus can get annoying quite fast imo. Nothing much to offer you about the band here unfortunately.

Write-Up:
I'm struggling with the fact that I don't have this higher since I love the intro and main riff but when stepping back to look at the song as a whole it has a few letdowns for me. The vocals aren't exactly polished and it doesn't really grab my attention if I were scanning through stations on the radio. The other thing here is it surprisingly didn't excel on the charts which is weird because I distinctly remember hearing this like all year long on the Mainstream rock stations in 2014. The song appears in Rock Band 3 as DLC and in Rock Band Blitz but I never really played it on either of those games. The song represents a relationship the lead singer has with a woman that he cares not to lose and symbolizes how he isn't "there" for her. It's an ok tune I guess but nothing I'd hype about too often.

I love the beat to this next song but it's mundane lyric repetition kinda gets to me honestly. I know that is typically a Daft Punk song in a nut shell; an awesome beat/lyric regurgitated ad nauseum but meh.. I kinda think this could have been better. Luckily I have included a couple of my favorites from Daft Punk that you'll hear eventually up the list. The song did make it to #1 in the UK but struggled slightly in the US. I spotted it on a couple of top songs of the 2000's lists and Rolling Stone even had it on their Top 100 songs of the decade list. An interesting fact about the song is that the band had actually completed work on it in 1998 but held onto it until the release of their 2nd album Discovery in 2001. Work on the song started before the release of their 1st album Homework and obviously wasn't ready in time for that release. I haven't really listened to their newest album but did include a couple of hits from it in this ranking. I hear from a few Daft Punk fans that their 4th album is their best to date but I'm not certain of that yet.

I hate that this song has a really catchy chorus but sounds quite amateur-ish through the rest of it. They kinda sound like every other generic Pop Punk band from the new decade. For some reason new Pop Punk sounds nothing like late 90's/early 00's Pop Punk and really should be called something else like Pop Punk Lite lol. I do get a major Bare Naked Ladies vibe from listening here though. It's been awhile since we've had a nominated song go down and unfortunately this spells disaster for Simoun who will now join Bane as one of the eliminated thus far. You had an ok run dude but will not get the chance to break the Top 700 unfortunately. Does anyone else think this sounds like a parody more in line with what a Weird Al song sounds like? Write-Up:
This song is it's own worst enemy imo. While I think the verse has an ok beat, the whole song sounds off when the jazzy chorus comes in. Maybe it isn't a brand of Hip Hop I understand but I like songs that maintain a consistent beat/rhythm all the way through. It does have way more potential than I give it credit for but since I have a hefty list of decent 90's tunes I think are better, it fails to compete here.

Write-Up:
If I were into a lot of easy listening music I might find this tune more appeasing but unfortunately there aren't too many slow Pop songs I'm in to. This isn't really anything I'd find myself humming to either. That said, I am a Piano fan though so I do have the tolerance for music like this. The beat and vocals are on par with each other but I couldn't find much of a following online for this artist. In fact most of what I did find suggests that this Band is very mediocre at best.

Write-Up:
When searching for this tune I kept getting results for the Legally Blonde Musical. They actually turned that series into a Musical??? Anyway, not the same song of course as this was created in the 80's. It's not really a memorable song tbh and compared to most 80's tunes this is something most folks have never heard of. It's got a mild beat and an ever so slightly catchy chorus but it's still not competitive enough to make it further than here with so many great tunes on the list.

I think it would be pretty hard to not guess that this was from the 70's as it has that unique rock sound so many 70's songs have. I don't really feel like it is anything that is worth recommending though for that reason since there is so much generic stuff from that era to wade through. It really is a decade where the best songs easily rise to the top of the list imo. Sadly as you can guess, this tune is nowhere near that league of songs imo but it's an ok listen all the same.

Ah. 80's Pop music. There definitely isn't enough of this in the world. (Joke). Anyway, I guess a bunch of people really like this tune but it's a bit generic to me. Thankfully I won't have to use that line to explain away the lower nominations for very long but I do mean it. I didn't listen to this in the 80's so maybe that's why it doesn't have a nostalgic effect on me that some folks have explained in my research. I think the whole song kinda holds onto a Disco vibe though and it wasn't terrible to listen to. There could have been much worse nominations from the 80's I'm sure.

Oh boy... seems like an all out assault on your nominations Simoun. Not intentional of course but you are now down 6 nominations. At least your next one won't come up for a little bit (I looked ahead) but yeah, bummer for your list atm. Anyway, 90's Hip Hop wasn't ever something I really listened to growing up. The days of Fresh Prince inspired tunes largely passed me by when I was in Junior High. This must be a popular band from back in the day though since it scored decently on the Top 100 scale and if you listen closely they name drop like crazy in this song. Snoop and Dre are just a couple of the names that come up.

Um... This is an interesting nomination in that the first time I listened to it I scored it higher but after multiple listens it actually began to lose points. There really weren't a lot of songs that I've "demoted" from further review but here we are with one of them. I feel like the Fresh Prince of Bel Air should be singing this tune. I don't think I'd be able to successfully tell you which parts of this song are the beginning, middle and end since the whole thing maintains the same consistent and sort of monotonous beat. The lyrics aren't all that memorable imo.

Write-Up:
Not a bad rock song overall but it suffers in a few areas. For one it isn't all that memorable. Really kind of standard for any mediocre 70's song imo. I've never heard of Captain Beyond before but this song could have been from numerous other bands of that time since it kind of follows a rock formula that has been used by many bands of that era. I couldn't find much praise for the band though so maybe they were unable to gain popularity the way I'm sure they probably hoped.

So... I kinda wished I had bumped this a bit more just for the video. It's so much better with the puppet show but... I didn't include a score for the videos. Anyway let's be honest, this just feels like it isn't a real song and was actually made for the puppets. I do like some of the rhyming but I feel like it was kind of rushed. The chorus is silly and I don't think the song can make any sense without the video. I might not change the radio station if this popped up but you can bet I won't be heading out to buy any MCFrontalot cd's any time soon.

I am less interested in Disco than I am the Mash-ups that I semi-DQ'd at the bottom of the ranking because of my scoring setup. It didn't impact the score here but what the hell is with the video? Here is a blast from the... not-so-past lol. I really thought this was from the 70's or something but nope it was released just 10 years ago. Never heard it before here though. It's got some cool note-bending about 3 minutes in which leads to a decent rock solo but out of the whole song that was the only part that I listened more intently. I do get a light audioslave vibe at that point which is probably why I liked that part of the song. Other than that there isn't much here for me. Kinda like Applebee's baby back ribs that are 75% bone and barely any meat.

Finally this block of songs is finished. Not a super great song to end it with but the beat is decent. I think there is only 1 song from this band that I have ever heard before this and it was in either a Saints Row or GTA game if I remember correctly. A bit of this song sounds just like another song further up the list that I actually like from the 80's also. It sounds so similar in fact that I thought this was that song at first and was prepared to bump it higher until I obviously figured out it wasn't the other song. The song was written to make a statement about the Lebanese civil war in 1982.

Ew my ears! What is this sappy s***? Actually tbh it's probably the genre and not the musicians themselves. I don't respond to Power Pop too well I'm learning. Anyway, yeah... this just sounds too "Disney" if you know what I mean. If I were to have scrapped a score entirely and just stacked songs based on whether I liked them or not, this would probably have landed in the bottom 50 for sure but I suppose it's still close enough with the scorecard. Ohhhhhhhhhh ok, I see why I am not responding to this too well. It's Christian music. Shoulda known I guess since my ears feel like they are on fire atm.lol

Despite the obvious language barrier I actually kind of felt like I could understand this song through the music which was kind of cool. I don't know what the song is about but by watching the video I'm gonna say girls who play video games? (the pile of game accessories on the floor in the video is suspect plus yay for an appearance of the Game Boy hoo rah!) Anyway, pretty cool song for having never heard it before this ranking. The video has a weird tint to it almost as if it would be something to look at through 3d glasses or a VR camera. I haven't tried it but I just happened to notice as I was writing this up. Overall there is a nice relaxed chill vibe going on here and it's definitely not terrible. This unfortunately leaves you with just 1 more song left Simoun.

Write-Up:
First thing I'd like to say here is that my wife has had such a major crush on Gwen Stefani going back to her teens. For me personally I don't really see the hook but I definitely understand the sex appeal. Gwen is a member of the band No Doubt and somewhere along the line she wanted to be credited for her own music? I guess... Apparently in 2004 the band went on a hiatus and Gwen embarked on her solo career eventually releasing 3 albums before the band re-united. They must be used to band drama though because they've had almost 20 different band members over the years. wow. Anyway, this is a fun summer tune but doesn't really appeal to me all that much. This song was instrumental (get it lol) in lifting the album to #1 making it Gwen's only album to make it to the top of the charts. Gwen has won numerous awards including 3 Grammys, the American Music Award and a couple of Billboard awards. She was married to Gavin Rossdale from the band Bush for 14 years before divorcing and hooking up with Country star Blake Shelton. I can't figure that one out but it's obvious they connected over their show "The Voice".

Formerly from Gnarls Barkley and Goodie Mob, CeeLo Green created this solo hit from his only successful solo album imo. He has won many awards for his vocal ability and is probably better known as one of the judges from 4 seasons of The Voice. (Interesting that there are 2 Voice references back to back). Anyway, it's ok for a listen. The explicit version is funnier to listen to and kinda shocking if you've only ever heard the clean version here. CeeLo is a talented and multi-faceted artist singing, writing, rapping, recording, producing and acting his way to fame. Interestingly enough he created this song as a result of his youtube popularity which also pretty much was responsible for his solo career. I got nothing else for you here though so on to the next song I suppose. This was a seriously overplayed hit from 2010 btw.

Here is a blast from the past er... 90's by a dude that was probably more successful on broadway where he spent a decent amount of his career. I say that because the dude has released 9 albums and I'm willing to bet that this is the only song you have ever heard of his am I rite? He wrote Scores for film and created musicals and Orchestrations over the years and won several awards for his work. He was also an actor and appeared in a few stage plays such as Twelfth Night, Spring Awakening and American Psycho. He is a Nichiren Buddhist and is currently dating a model.

Not the "Story of My Life" song I prefer the most but it's getting better coming from One Direction at least. It only took dropping 5 songs of theirs before getting to one I don't mind lol. Obviously I prefer Social Distortion's song of the same name more since you haven't seen it yet :P. Anyway, we have a new genre here as well with a hybrid between Folk and Electronic/a. I tend to really like Folk music because of the uptempo riffs which is kinda what I find most appealing on guitar. Not sure what it is exactly but I just know my ears are generally pleased. We still have more One Direction to come though believe it or not. Tbh I didn't anticipate that there would even be 2 One Direction songs in this ranking but here we are on the 6th so far. How many more can we expect exactly? Well... you'll have to follow along if you want to find out! Just kidding, we have only 1 more left. What could that be I wonder? (I'm sure most everyone would give an obvious facepalm once it is revealed)

Write-Up:
The 3rd appearance of Meat Loaf gets us closer to my #1 favorite Meat Loaf song as there were not many selected for this ranking. In fact as the band before this ranking, there is only 1 tune left to go for this artist. Everyone should definitely know what the #1 Meat Loaf song is though. If you don't know, you must not be willing to do anything for love lol. Anyway, This song is ok and a definite improvement over the previous 2 Meat Loaf songs imo. Progressive Rock is something that Meat Loaf must live and breathe because most of his music is sort of like that. I mean, some definitely are but the rest sort of meander through various tempos, rhythms and melodies in an ADHD kinda way. Meat Loaf is a guy that can sit at a piano and just impromptu his way through a whole concert and he certainly isn't shy about making really lengthy material. There were several sources that I found that listed this song in the top 3 Meat Loaf songs of all time.

One of three classic songs from Dire Straits to make the list. Tbh though, it's one of the only 3 I would have even selected from the band. I never cared much for the rest of the band's discography even though they would play for over 15 years of a career and become one of the best selling artists raking in over $100 Million in coin. It's impressive but I still couldn't care for their other stuff. This was the first song to top the charts from the debut album. There have been 12 band members in all and they used to frequently associate with other artists such as Eric Clapton and Sting. I guess the British take their records seriously as there is a Guinness book of British Albums and according to Dire Straits had spent more than 1,100 weeks on the charts in their careers. Wow. It seems like that'd be a tedious thing to keep track of. F*** that job lol.

This tune has got a really catchy beat I'm not gonna lie, but that's not true for the whole song unfortunately. It's a decent dance beat but has some awkward tempo changes which can kill my rhythm of motion when getting active but I love the synthesizer bit. I wouldn't really admit to many of my close friends that I appreciate this song for what it's worth simply because I wouldn't want to admit to liking some Dance Pop lol. Most of my friends around here are rock only fans. Interestingly enough we now have our very first 6 point yearly score. Didn't really think that 2011 would ever be in the lead honestly. The current score is at 6.03 points. I kinda wish there was a looping video from 44-58 seconds in on youtube but I couldn't find one. If I got 20 minutes of that straight I could rave pretty hard lol. Anyway, the 10's have begun to drop at a faster rate. It'll be at the Top 100 in no time.

Darn it to pieces I am torn about dropping this song this low lol. I'm gonna trust my scoring system though and just accept it to see how this turns out. There was once a time in my life though that Nu Metal was the only music I listened to and these guys headlined most of my mixed tapes. The vocals are kinda... eh... I dunno. I feel like they are unique in parts but then sound completely amateur in other places. I guess you could say that about most bands in the genre but usually it's one way or the other in any given song. They kinda go back and forth from record worthy to noobish imo. Still... that sick intro riff and beat makes me want to forgive and forget know what I mean? lol I can say I wasn't expecting to lose this one before the top 700 though. At least it got close.

I missed good ol' 1985 that now stands at 6.233 points. Only one more Tears For Fears song to go after this unfortunately for the fans. The last one is clearly the best one but this one is pretty good. I recall this song immediately from Donnie Darko every time I hear it. DD is one of my favorite films of all time and if you haven't seen it, I highly recommend it! No really go watch it now! It features mudstuffin Jake Gyllenhaal! 1985 seems to be cranking out some decent hits though and actually isn't surprising to me to see it leading the pack.

Blah sometimes I hate the year 1999 because of songs like these. They were wildly popular and had you uncontrollably and hopelessly getting caught bouncing to the beat when you should have realized the cheezy gotcha formula laced through most of the music that year. If you want substance from these cash grabbing beats you gotta go most of the way on your own with the interpretation because lyrically you get nothing but redundantly linked fanfare. I've said it before and I'll say it again, I can handle regurgitated melodies but a vocal driven broken record drives me nuts. Sadly, I got nothing else for you except yay Beyonce and whatnot. :p

Hey, we haven't had any Jukebox rock in awhile so this is nice. I've definitely seen this in a high 95% of all the jukeboxes I've ever put coins in. It was a pretty great rock tune back in the day and I can recall hearing it a bunch growing up. It's unfortunately the last sample we'll have from the band here (for the fans anyway) but I'm cool with it. There are far greater rock tunes ahead and this didn't stand much of a chance going any higher anyway. I found the song on several top 500+ lists of the greatest rock songs of all time and clearly I'd have it somewhere in the top 100+ or so Hard Rock songs here. I don't listen to nearly as much classic/hard rock as I used to and it's actually been awhile before this ranking of course since I heard this song last.

Strangely it seems as if Charlie could make an entire album with the most Bubblegum of them all none other than Meghan Trainor herself. I'm embarrassed to say that I kinda like this song. In hindsight I think I screwed it slightly on the vocals but there isn't much I can do about that now unfortunately. It is typical form for this popstained decade but whatever. I'm just glad we are around the corner from the next decade and hopefully the next music fad am I rite? Charlie has a couple more songs in the ranking (3 more to be exact) so this isn't the last you'll see of him for sure. I'm a big piano fan so it was inevitable that he'd get some songs up on the list.

Sweet. We get another dose of the 60's up in here lol. This song was started in 1969 of course but by the time of it's release it was spring of the new decade. I believe most of the song was written before the new year which is why I joke about it being a 60's tune. CCR really knew how to jam in their day though and were rising stars from day one. Brothers John and Tom Fogerty actually grew up in the bajou which makes them true Swamp Rockers. The 4 members of the band had actually started playing together in 1959 but hadn't formed the band until 1967. It's actually quite impressive the amount of hits they turned out for the mere 5 years they played as a band. I bet you didn't realize that either; that they were together for so short a time. Believe it or not though the band suffered from internal drama that would be the downfall of the band. They struggled with business and artistic control and I guess could never compromise. After they split up, each member went on to perform their own acts with John Fogerty really the only member to see success again in later years.

In to the 80's we go for the next tune and it's a One-hit-wonder. Who would have guessed? lol. I can't recall how many times I longed over a crush as a kid with this playing on the radio though. It's a pretty decent love song so I'm curious why Chris never really had another hit. I do like some of his other songs such as Don't Pay the Ferryman and A Spaceman came Traveling but they are an acquired listen if you will. He does like to tell stories through his music so I'm surprised he didn't have more success. If you want to hear a good example of his story telling you should try listening to Spanish Train or Rose of England. It's not fantastic but kind of sums up his style. Lady In Red believe it or not is kind of outside the box for the artist which must have been confusing for him when it topped the charts and nothing else he ever did could.

Sounds like I targeted you dude doesn't it? Welp, I didn't target you of course but I still feel bad for putting you closer to eliminated. This is a decent example of Post Grunge but doesn't quite sizzle enough overall. I do like the vocals and lyrical content but the background music drones out a little bit and there isn't really a strong distinguishable beat imo. I mean there is a beat obviously but I think it's because the drums and the guitars are competing at the same wavelength or something so neither really sets itself apart from the other. With this ranking it places you in 2nd place overall atm in the Nominator Challenge Dragon. Here's hoping your last nomination can carry you further. :P

Kicking off the next block of tunes I will be delivering on this fine day is as some might guess, another song from this decade. I sure love starting with this decade every time I come back because I really wouldn't prefer it to beat any other decade. My unranked personal preference tells me that I like the 70's, 80's, 90's and 00's much better. This song is hella catchy but can get really annoying if you are in the right type of mood. Being Bi-polar, I have had the ability to experience a wide variety of weird moods and I can tell you that the right mood and wrong song can brick up your day good. It's some sort of hypnotic subliminal key to your "inside out" and haywire can ensue at anytime if you listen to as much music as I do.lol Anyway, oh yeah, it sure is a nice day today. Here's a cool and fun song from the 70's. Gotta dig that relaxed and chill vibe, certainly almost any stoner's delight. Hahaha no way... that's too funny lol. Paul Simon is our 420th artist/band to join the ranking. That's a weird a** coincidence. Anyway, as much as I can jive with this song it sits just outside the stack of tunes that I consider must hear from the decade. Not sure why I favor so few but we won't get the the best of the best of the decade until around the Top 50. Or at least to the songs I would say everyone must listen to at least once in their lifetime. I don't know much about Paul Simon admittedly although I have seen his records a number of time growing up. I do have a rare indulgence into all laid back rock songs of this sort from time to time. Particularly anything that sounds like I should be swinging in a hammock on some deserted island. You are guaranteed to hear a few more of these before we are done. =D

Sex appeal is through the roof which is right in line with the song seeing that it is literally about seduction. The beat is ok but doesn't retain it's catchiness after a number of listens. I don't mind this kind of Dance Pop but I certainly don't love it. The intro is kinda piercing but isn't so sharp later in the song so it's tolerable. If I remember correctly Britney was making a hell of a comeback from some sort of personal drama that I didn't really quite follow. She appeared to be having identity issues but by this time she must have re-aligned with her inner spirit because she radiates confidence like a boss in this song and on this album imo.

I'm blue daba dee bada daa bada dee baadda... oh wrong song lol. (j/k) Of course I know what song we are on but it is only the 2nd of the only 2 songs I am familiar with by the band. This beat goes great with some of my graphic novels. I recently looped it for about 30 minutes while I finished book 3 of Morning Glories. It had an oddly atmospheric connection with the futuristic themes in the book. 1999 is certainly a memorable year for unique hits such as this and from my recollection, everyone was into it too. It's funny because I was finally out of high school and on my own and the music just made so much sense to me then. It's still good for a good head bob if you are looking for something uplifting. I'm almost always in a better mood after hearing this song which is why I make that claim. Despite my favoring of this tune it did not get much higher because it just wasn't as well received by the public which kinda blows my mind but perhaps it went unnoticed because it didn't get as much airplay as Blue did.

Do you remember!? Nope, I had almost forgotten honestly but now that I get another listen wow so catchy. I must have been in a grumpy mood when I laid down the main score because I'm feeling the rhythm now lol. This will be stuck in my head all night for sure. Hopefully one of the songs to follow this will replace it. I could probably dance to this song pretty easily. I mean, is there anyone out there that couldn't? It should have had a much better score from me right? Well... I'll work through the score here. The beat is sweet but it feels situational to me like there are only certain settings that I'd hear it in. It would be awkward in front of the bro-type folks I sometimes hang around with for example. The hook is not so strong because I usually listen to certain playlists when I'm driving and this just wouldn't end up on one I'd make if I'm being honest. And finally it really can lose it's charm if you listen to it 10 times in a row. Go ahead and do it if you don't believe me. :P Fair score. Next.

((Still here, not much comment from me though usually; I'm very lurkery the past few years))

((For immediate comment, how is September so low?! I WILL listen to it ten times now.))

720 out of 1300 isn't so bad. Anything that could slip into mediocre for me will be falling out up until around the Top 500 then it starts to get a bit more difficult to drop them. I'm not looking forward to the Top 100 in a sense that I'm not gonna want to drop anything there. It's gonna be very difficult for me to decide the final 25 songs.

Write-Up:
Down goes another 70's tune. I don't recall the exact moment I heard this song for the first time but I do remember I was quite young and it was the backdrop for something else I recall in my life pretty well. I won't go into specifics because it's pretty lame but I would end up hearing this a ton growing up. It's kind of a goofy one-hit-wonder imo (not sure if it actually was a 1 hit wonder but I know of nothing else from the band atm) and it's too early for me to grab you some band history lol. I'm sort of focused on going to work in a bit here... and I haven't even left work yet! lol I'm so looking forward to dropping back to 1 job but I'm about 4 months away from the promotion I need at the store I'm currently working at. Anyway, this is a decent song but doesn't fare well with multiple listens. I feel like it was also the theme song for a show or movie I saw once but I can't seem to recall what that is atm.
