It isn't so much that their schedule is weak because it's not, it's how they looked in those games compared to other teams who played those same teams.

This argument really takes away from the major basis of sports in "any given game" and "that's why they play the games"

As a counter argument, Notre Dame defeated Syracuse in a neutral location 35-3. That's a team Clemson only beat by 3.

Clemson, led by the guy who at that point was their third string quarterback.

I pointed out that Syracuse was their only impressive win and even that has a caveat. Syracuse were without their starting QB who is very much the main driving force behind their offense, there's literally articles like this about him saying he's the most important QB in their history.

I mean Notre Dame's schedule wasn't even good. They beat Michigan but it was week 1 and we also saw Ohio State dismantle Michigan in a far more impressive manner. They beat Northwestern but again we saw Ohio State beat them way more convincingly. They struggled past Pittsburgh who both Clemson and UCF absolutely demolished. They struggled past Vanderbilt. They struggled past Ball State. They struggled past a terrible USC team. Their only really good win came against Syracuse and of course going undefeated is always going to look great year end.

LSU(L) *
Florida*
Kentucky*
Auburn*

Alabama(L)*

All teams better than anyone Notre Dame played.

Why are you comparing them to Georgia in SOS? They play in the SEC. Silly.

Notre Dame's schedule is actually rated pretty decently, particularly because they schedule very few cupcakes. They had a lot of mediocre teams on their schedule, but you can't just say that Michigan and Syracuse don't count. Michigan's a marquee game and they won it.

The only teams you're right about are the ones that have L's listed after them.

I mean if Kentucky and LSU both win then it's very likely 4 out of the 5 on that list end up higher ranked than Notre Dame's highest ranked win. LSU are favored, Kentucky are not.

If you discount Michigan and go to their next ranked win then 4 out of the 5 are ranked higher than Syracuse and Northwestern

Yeah, because getting your ass kicked by Tennessee for some reason doesn't hurt you as much as getting your ass kicked by Notre Dame.

All 5 of them would beat Michigan and Syracuse besides maybe Kentucky against Michigan. The other 4 would easily. Hell Florida just stomped the piss out of Michigan.
