The GBC remake came with a few extras to the base game and a pretty silly postgame, but I don't know of there's one past that. The postgame bosses are fairly bad in design though. While offensive magic is almost entirely useless for most of the game, they have no magic resistance at all. One is virtually impossible to reach without an incredible grind.
