He doesn't seem to be able to get along with anyone. The other day I was wondering what his relationship with Kat is actually like. He can't treat anyone else with respect, so it's not hard to imagine him snapping and calling her a fucking idiot if she does something he doesn't like.

I think it could be effective if he did it a little differently. But when he has to derail his stream to desperately try to mute the person, and then trash talks them only after they are muted, it's clear the trolls got the reaction they wanted.

Yeah, it's a weird symbionic relationship. I don't get it. These guys claim they hate his guts but watch everything he puts out just to complain about it. I think they need to get a large room somewhere.

I think very few detractors actually hate him. Most simply find him fascinating; it's the old cliche about the train wreck that you don't want to stare at but can't look away from.

Whether people hate him or not, this is a man who has spent years of his life treating people like shit and blaming everybody else for the poor decisions he's made in his life. A person like that shouldn't expect to be treated well. I'm not saying he deserves everything that happens to him, but so many of his problems would go away if he just stopped acting like a dick all the time.

I'll give him credit for at least trying to add something to his FFIV playthrough by explaining things along the way, and he didn't get mad at the game at any point. Even the usual drama was largely absent. But the whole thing was still very boring. This is a game he always wanted to play on stream, a game he loves, and he can't do anything to make it interesting.

Have you seen his cooking vids? They were terribly made and the food looked awful, but it had a kind of charm to it, like he was genuinely showing how to cook simple meals.

Because it was available on Steam. From what he said on the prestream, it sounds like he went with the most accessible option. I would have preferred the SNES version.

The SNES verison was my first Final Fantasy game so I'm super biased.

Still, hearing Phil say shit like, "Cecil wears a helmet, he was like Darth Vader dood!" just makes me cringe.

He's never really adjusted to streaming. All the streaming stuff--the lengthy prestream, his "interactive" elements, the frequent drama--is terrible. Underneath those things, though, he's basically still making his early unedited YouTube videos, only without any passion or charm.

I am inclined to believe Phil is using a guide of sorts.

His usual MO consist of: "huh", "I don't know what to do", Where do I go?", "What does this item do", etc.

While expecting chat to walk him through it. Now.he is a savant (by his standards), yet he can't recall the first thing about any Souls game despite having them played multiple times. So something is up.

And once again Phil's absolute lack of talent shines through, since most of it is literally what's happening on screen:

I can't fathom how a man who is supposedly a pro gamer and plays games for a living for over a decade is so bad at games.

Like when I pick up games, I figure the basic stuff out fast and maybe a little longer for the complexities.

I watched a few minutes of his Assassin's Creed stream last night. He had under 200 viewers, he doesn't enjoy the game, and he's been playing it forever. I know he doesn't want to just abandon games, but there's no point continuing to play something his audience doesn't care about.

Ever notice how often he makes comments like these? Or yelling stuff like suck my dick/this sucks my dick?

One thing of note, because we all know Phil can't help himself and will run his mouth sooner, rather than later: E7 now has paid over 50% of Phil's magical "I need 16k or I will lose the house" money. But it is not going to be enough, it never is. Phil already stated that it helps but that it is not "a big enough chunk".

Motherfucker, barely a month after you dropped the 16k bomb, over half of it has been paid and you still have 4 months to go.

Phil is just bitching because he won't get the sub money till February, yet according to his own admission, he rather has the money next year instead of now, so it won't count towards 2018's taxes. HE IS GETTING EXACTLY WHAT HE WANTS HOW HE WANTS IT AND IT STILL IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH.

How people can keep throwing money is absolutely beyond me, because no matter how much you give him, he is always going to need more. I mean, the 4k he needed last year quadrupled this year.
