Shouldn't Trump supporters be thrilled that interest rates are being raised during his presidency and not during Obama's? Rates going up is a sign that the Fed believes the economy is doing well and will continue to do so despite the increase, while going years without raising them would indicate that the economy is incredibly awful and shows no signs of getting better. Shouldn't Trump's fans tout this as proof that Trump is the superior president?

Literally only a democrat would be enraged by any of this stuff. Whatever happened to the anti-war folks from the 2000s who never wanted us in the Middle East in the first place? Or is that out the window because you people are completely brainwashed by mainstream media into "Orange Man Bad" nonsense? Trump could cure cancer and you people would still complain. Not that we didn't already have proof of this but this week has provided some hilarious examples.

It's like if your dad tells you not to dig a hole in the yard and you do it anyway.

When you finally stop, your dad's not gonna be happy about you "stopping" unless you have a plan for filling it back in.

So the thing is, I actually support Trump pulling the emergency brakes on our involvement in the Syria conflict because Mattis/Bolton/etc have been allowed to escalate pretty much without oversight which is a really big problem

but two things:

1) Trump HIRED Mattis and Bolton and it's not like we didn't know what their positions were on this. Especially Bolton who is a fucking maniac and an inexcusably terrible hire from the start, but he's ESPECIALLY an inexcusably terrible hire if you think pulling out of Syria today was a good idea. Hiring him in the first place was what exacerbated this mess. Trump made this mess and it's clear that he has no real foreign policy goal here aside from "hire people who hated Obama a lot and then ???" because everything he's doing is at odds with each other, he just got scared that Erdogan threw a hissy fit and he's backing down because so much for being a tough alpha male (typically it would actually be good that he's listening to someone for a change but he just legitimized Erdogan, Assad, AND Putin in one fell swoop)

2) Trump did this with absolutely zero communication or planning or conferring with anyone else or... anything. I want to get out of Syria but I don't want to do it stupidly and rashly which is the only way Trump knows how to do anything

That was a more intriguing MYSTERY back when we knew nothing about it except that it caused an entire floor to be locked down in a federal courthouse and journalists were desperately trying to figure out wth was going on by trying to identify who on Mueller's team was going in and out but were having a lot of trouble with it. And it lined up bizarrely well with some of the crazier theories of the case.

Yeah there was a lot more than one or two things that contributed to the economy tanking. I'd argue that allowing industries to self regulate was another big issue that we don't seem to have learned the lesson for.

It's weird mostly because how consistent the messaging is, and how it seems to be applied to all of California. Like, close to 1 in 8 Americans live in California, and yet right wing people treat it as this homogenous monolith where everything is San Francisco.

Whenever a conservative is screaming about something you can be 90% sure with a little investigation that theyre projecting and trying to hide by pointing the finger at others so no one suspects them. And this applies to so many things like the anti-gay ones that call homosexuals pedos always getting caught with young boys or voter fraud or making stuff up all the time then yelling fake news and pointing.
