What sort of behaviour made you decide to bring it up? Is he just really skittish or something?

This was the vet's suggestion

he has had recurring bladder and urine issues since I got him in April. No antibiotics or other medications took care of it. It's not an infection and not an obvious physical issue, so it's likely FIC which has to do with cat stress

This is the 5th attempt at treatment

I've worked in animal care before and I can tell you firsthand that the right medicine really helps dogs and cats

One dog needed anti anxiety meds to function and it made a world of difference

I still feel sad that my cat is on an antidepressant

it's part of the personality, mine can go a bit nuts sometimes. it's something i love about her (my pitbull dog). though she calmed down over the years.

on topic, hopefully your cat gets better rather not see it die too soon (10 years was too soon).

Not true, but an understandable opinion. I've met some really chill cats.

we think she may have been abused as a kitten and wasnt socialized with other cats cause she will still flinch back if you go to pet her and she doesnt really do the whole growl > hiss > scratch > bite thing that other cats are supposed to do, its like she doesnt know how to express her anger in any way except biting

Houdini has been very sleepy today. Poor guy. He's not going to the litter box all the time. Not blocked either

Wish I could explain meds to him but he's a cat

He has a spot at my feet and he's relaxing instead of biting my toes
