December has always been the worst month in terms of wrestling. WWE basically waits until the new year to get the ball rolling for Royal Rumble, the biggest matches are set in stone for Wrestle Kingdom by November, and none of the other promotions do anything notable. This didn't used to be the case back when WCW was still around.

I'm probably not the right person to ask - not a very big Thatcher guy. Just watched BOLA over the last couple days though and he had a pretty brutal match with WALTER. Wasn't as good as the PROGRESS effort from earlier this year but definitely still worth a look. The Ring Kampf tag match against Shingo and Ilja Dragunov from the prior night also got pretty stiff at points.

I've got two more tag matches on my spreadsheet for 2018 - one in PWG against the Chosen Bros back in January and one against Daisuke Sekimoto and Munenori Sawa from EVOLVE 102. Honestly though I don't remember too much of those matches. I'd expect the latter has some good grapple stuff in it since Sawa's involved and he probably got into it with Riddle a couple times in the former, but I couldn't tell you for sure.

Sorry I can't be of more help with this one! I'm looking back over my 4*+ ratings over the last few years and there's very little Thatcher at all that's not in PROGRESS and/or tags. One against Chris Hero in EVOLVE, one against Gargano in EVOLVE, one against Gulak in PWG.

Theyve basically set it up as If Corbin wins on Sunday it will continue to be bad

I heard Corbin got MORE HEAT, even though they acknowledged the show sucks now because of him.

And that I guess they're screwing up AOP more by having them lose the titles after Drake Maverick of all people got pinned.

And using Jim Neidhart and saying absolutely classless things in the feud more.

And Finn's reward for being the only guy on the roster to stand up to Corbin last week was for him to get beat so bad he isn't even here this week.

So is them acknowledging their show is bad and continuing to put on a bad show supposed to make us think it's not actually a bad show if they say it is?

Although to be honest that might be the only hope to salvage AOP at this point. A surgical removal of Drake from the team in such a manner that they can reboot without him, but still didnt have to get beat to do it.

I don't think it's going to work in the long run. The problem isn't him, it's the writing. He does fine with what he's given, and gets proper heat from the live audience

The issue is most watching can see through to the crappy writing and just change the channel

Corbin is getting X-Pac heat right now due to being featured in somewhere between 3-6x as much of the show as his standing can tolerate. He's doing an okay job I guess but even peak Stone Cold Steve Austin wasn't on the show this much. What he actually does to "run the show" is irrelevant.

I think Corbin winning actually makes sense. They don't seem to have any intention of putting the belt on Braun right now (unless Lesnar winning again was just so they could have another "chase the belt" story), and having him lose a title shot for the 347th time isn't going to do anything for him. They probably figure why hurt Braun even more with another title shot loss when you could have him not get a title shot at all.

I also haven't bothered to watch Raw since her got hurt. I watched SDL for a little while last week though.

Starting to think Corbin wins Sunday at the rate things are going with the writing. So one of two things happen next month...

If Strowman wins: Brock vs Strowman at Rumble, Corbin goes back to midcard where he belongs

If Corbin wins: Strowman probably enters Rumble, while either Balor or Rollins get fed to Brock at the Rumble. Despite his part time status, Lesnar's appeared at every Royal Rumble ppv since 2014 so it's something at least.

I've heard that one of the plans being kicked around for Mania is Rollins/Lesnar and something to do with Roman. Not sure if that would need to be for the title or not, but I'd like to think Lesnar won't be the champion that long.

Which means he will.
