Even more absurdly, there are countless students who get it free on the basis of low income despite those same students already receiving other food welfare benefits (granted, those are their only guaranteed meals each day, since their SNAP/EBT benefits are often being misused by their parents). Taxpayers are paying MULTIPLE times to feed other peoples' kids. Other than that, you had greedy unions (which protect terrible teachers and stygmie education), overpaid administrators, etc, siphoning money that should go to teaching students.... and, of course, you have money being spent on school lunches which could be used to teach students. My mom knew how to stretch both food and money, and there were still times that I had very little to eat. I was extremely grateful for both school lunches and the program that gave lunches to kids at the park in the summer.
