Is the game genuinely good?

Is it Witcher 3 good?

Witcher 3 is actually the game I got vibes of when playing this lol. But yes there are differences.

Witcher 3 has kickass sidequests whereas Odyssey has more generic fetch/kill quests.

Odyssey has naval combat which is damn fun for me and it's also therapeutic as fuck sailing the open seas and your crew singing songs and shit. Also when you decide to board a ship and your crew is doing their war chants. Fucking love it.

Ability wise, Odyssey is split into archery, combat, and stealth, whereas Witcher is combat, magic, and potions.

Odyssey has more verticality and stealth. I don't really remember stealth in Witcher 3.

You sold me on it

Okay so some spoilers as I first met the cult

Alexios/Deimos was able to see Kassandra's past. And all he does is say "Who are you?" Then goes berserk on the next person who goes up to touch the pyramid. Why didn't he go berserk on Kassandra? Unless it's explained later then don't tell me lol

Deimos was doing it to draw attention away from you so they could talk to you later.

Also, some of these sidequests are actually dope. Doing the string right now against The Dagger. Felt bad for the theater couple. There are some Witcher level morality choices here too, as someone mentioned earlier.

BTW, fire build is the most op shit in the game.

My fire damage is 178%
Elemental is 178%
Warrior damage is 200%

One strike and their fire buildup is maxed so they're instantly on fire taking fire damage. One strike and half their health is gone if it's a captain/polemarch.

This is on normal too. I just bumped it up to hard to compensate lol.

FYI, you can have both of the couple survive lol. If you shoot the thugs with arrows from afar before triggering the cutscene, they both live and will thank you for it lol. Melee range triggers the cutscene though. There's another quest line involving a rebellion between mykanos and Delos, with literally 7 different potential outcomes.

Yeah if you wanna feel powerful despite enemy scaling, go for an Elemental build. Fire is obviously best but poison works amazingly too if you go for spears.

Basically any of the quests with gold markers on the map will be quests with story to them.

The one involving the two islands fighting eachother with rebellion, the one involving oedipous, the sokrates ones, etc.

Oh shit. I thought the level cap was raised to 50. Nope. 70. Well damn. Lol. I'm 54 right now. That's actually neat, since that's extra fire damage mastery levels for me lol.
