They can do it for a few days prior, like the week of christmas. But this year it's gone too far... literally been hearing them as far back as the end of oct and even hallmark channel is on a 24/7 marathon of christmas only movies since nearly sept.

I remember sitting here 10 or so days before halloween with christmas stuff going and thinking "and this is why I don't enjoy christmas anymore"

I hope they ban the little drummer boy, it's awful and drones into your skull. I still like some transiberian orchestra and that one from the polar express movie.

in canada it's considered disrespectful to play holiday music or put up christmas celebration before rememberance day.

Best part of them doing that is when it comes to christmas day or the day after it abruptly stops like that's enough. I mean if you're gonna run it for 2-2.5 months non-stop you could at least shift it back and do it for the day after... but no, here I am trying to enjoy my spooky slasher movies while christmas decorations and other stuff is going on. It's very confusing.

Then you have the decorations that extend into late jan... It's a glutton of a holiday. This also just reminded me of avgn's video about it. Should just get wasted and say you're celebrating saint patricks day regardless of the current date.
