I heard from Somethingawful that there's some kind of glitch that makes it so the Chicken Knife doesn't actually factor agility into its power. Is that true?

Might depend on which version you're playing

Never heard of that one!

A full power Chicken Knife should still cap out spellblade attacks.

it's the opposite.

Chicken Knife is the only knife that does factor in agility, all knives are supposed to but only the CK does.

that's one of the things that contribute to it being the most powerful weapon in the game.

ours is not to reason why, ours is but to do and die.

You sure? I'm playing the SNES version, btw.

From FF Wikia:
Chicken Knife is the strongest knife, and can potentially become stronger than even Ragnarok if the player runs away 255 times (as a sword, the Ragnarok only benefits from Strength, while the Chicken Knife benefits from both Strength and Agility). The Chicken Knife has 127 Attack; it grants +5 Speed; and when attacking with it, it has a 25% chance of making the party run automatically from the fight. Commands other than Attack, such as Rapid Fire and Mug, bypass the auto-running trait.

Wait, whats the attack boost rate for the knife, anyway? If it caps at 127, why does it take the magical integer overflow number for it to reach that power?

I think that was actually you who told me about the knife.

So you get dick. No blessings for you. Since you're the one that was forcing me to play it in the first place.

Stingray is near the sunken Walse Tower (which is also close to the Phoenix Tower). If you're fighting World 1 trash randoms (Sahagins etc.), you're in the right place. It's a 1/16 encounter.
