I think it depends on where you're from.

I was raised in Texas and Oklahoma, where fried chicken is considered just about as generic as hamburgers. Apparently in northern states, it's not exactly a staple food, so it's more likely to be considered an unusual inclusion on a tree like this.

Takis are mostly popular in the hispanic and Asian communities where I live. I interpreted that as being more overtly racist.

Admittedly it's a tough call, but I definitely think the "poor people are criminals" message rings pretty loudly from that tree.

Yeah it looks like it isn't specifically black, but whether its a race or a class thing the chief of police shouldn't be doing shit like that in the first place. When you work in a community you don't have a good relationship with, even compared to other departments in the area, this was a very dumb decision and he should indeed be let go.
