I actually go to the Mothman Festival in Point Pleasant, WV every year, and Bethesda sent some people there with like two days notice. It was still the busiest it's ever been (and super unfortunate they had flooding because it was the most disappointing it's ever been). They gave out free swag to people and ran out of stuff pretty quickly. I only wanted this amazing Mothman/Fallout poster they were selling. It is currently on my wall.

But you could tell everyone fucking hated being there from Bethesda, and they wanted to leave so badly. I know some of it is because of how hot it was (record breaking for the festival) but I think a lot of them just didn't want to be there to begin with.

Every day this game just gets worse and worse.

I legitimately feel bad for the people are somehow enjoying it, because they're never gonna get taken seriously in this whirlwind. I feel like we're going well past Sim City and Andromeda.

And you can't even make the argument of it being a side game, because Bethesda was ADAMANT that this was one of their biggest projects ever and being treated like a main release.

Because Mothman is dope as hell and my favorite monster.

The dude just hangs out where catastophe are going to happen with his glowy red eyes and then watches it all go down. He doesn't do anything but just watch horrible crap happen. That's great!

Also, Fallout 76 has actually made Mothman a more popular thing. Since announced, I've had two people ask me if I own my Mothman shirt because of the game.

The whole "Still attacked to a kill through the protection" thing... Is a nonstarter. Bethesda didn't make it "No damage".. You can be killed in unwanted PVP. (Deal with it) If the only thing that went on was the first bit of mudslinging (which was just an effective "miss me with that gay shit") and the kill, it'd be completely fair though.

Game is shit regardless.

Excluding ones that were given out for marking purposes, were any of the bags given out to people who ordered the special edition made of canvas? If it was an issue with material shortage, you would expect some of them to be made of canvas before they ran out and switched to nylon.

So I finally looked up Mothman because my girlfriend was wearing her Mothman Festival shirt to PT today and her trainer said her boyfriend was playing Fallout 76 and killed Mothman and said it was super easy and probably glitched.

So half the time Mothman is apparently glitched. He will sit there in a cocoon with red eyes and just not do anything.

The other half is the lamest shit. Mothman just disappears in a puff of smoke, looking similar to a cocoon with wings, and then float in place slightly about the ground and just try to hit you with sonic blasts from afar. If you get close it then disappears and repeats it again. But that's literally all it does.

This game is so fucking lazy, god damn.

if canvas was actually given to streamers and promoters on top of being promised in the first place, that's just straight up false advertisement and opening themselves up to getting sued. that says they had it, they continued to promote the release with it, and then didn't give the customer what they promised and presented.

there's gotta be a bunch of class action lawyers out there smacking their lips at this mess.

I really have to wonder what some businessperson was thinking when they decided to do this. You'd think they would know that it's basic knowledge in business that you're going to get into deep trouble if you don't provide a product as advertised. Another fun fact from the Mothman Festival that is relevant to this.

There were so many people with those pre-order Fallout 4 PIP Boys at this thing that it was super strange to see.
