That's a good call. Ravi can heal herself as your tank, and you get Aither for free right away. He's pretty bad, but you can get Hazel for free by friendship missions. My wife went through the whole process and got 2 of her from a 10 summon right before she finished the mission.

And yeah, I saw that pulling units given as gifts can happen; I got Alexa on a pull last night, and I'm still working on her missions. But I'm not arguing, as it rounds out my team with another element and gives me a thief to use my 5* Artifact on.

Lopen plays pretty casually and I bet he's close to clearing the shop of any essentials.

Removing debuffs is huge in Epic Seven. I lowered the cooldown on Destina's debuff/healing combo skill first just because it's so helpful.

I'd do the main story, you can get Breath of Orbis to upgrade your stuff in the sanctuary, and you can unlock things like arena/hunts to get daily missions.

It's actually fun to play, and the company behind it isn't out to steal all of your money. They have their first limited banner right now. The only 5* unit you can get is the banner unit, and you're guaranteed to get her in 120 pulls. You can easily get that many within a week or two depending on how much story you're running.

Perverts, people who love cliche anime games, and reasonably generous at the start with literally giving you 30 chances to get a good reroll without having to restart the game. It seems fun enough, plus it doesn't have any of the timing stuff to deal with for chaining and the like that FFBE does, and that's a plus for me.

That's about right. If you minimalist clear everything you can play like one or two days a week, afk everything else, and still have a viable team since the game gives you so many stamina refreshes.

You can go hardcore grindy on a lot of events, like the current one, but there's really not a ton of incentive to. There's a huge amount of diminishing returns in raising up more than 14 servants or so.

Nah, there's never enough.

So Autobattle works pretty well if you can stomp everything. The characters run automatically, and use the full variety of their skills, unlike here where they only attack. Only issue I see is that it won't pick up chests or the like, so you have to pay at least a little attention if you don't want to miss anything.

Also, FFBE is having some serious slowdown issues for me. I tried running around a couple towns, and after maybe 30 seconds it became really noticeable that Lassworm was moving a lot more slowly than usual. I'm a little worried something about either my phone or the latest update has seriously screwed with the iOS compatibility, which might have explained my crashes when fighting Vindemiatrix. A memory leak perhaps?

So I will totally agree that getting a 5* Artifact does seem a bit disappointing on a pull. I got the one from the banner, and I'm not seeing how it's really all that great. The one I got earlier giving bonus turns? Hell yeah, that's amazing. This one? Eh.

The friendship summons have their multi-pulls, but, from what I've heard,they removed it for the rare pulls due it leading to overspending or such; not much info I could find

I did and I've been donating. Been dropping all my skystone on those bookmark bundles as soon as I hit 950, but still haven't really gotten anything noteworthy from the pulls. Honestly, 120 pulls for the pity timer is pretty stingy.

RIP e7 maintenance

Maintenance there isn't actually that bad. It's shorter than FFBE, and we've been given energy for the time the game was in maintenance (not sure if that will continue, but they did that previously). Still sucks though, even though my energy and arena flags were empty and I had already used my daily gift energy rewards, I still want to do something. Getting close to my first 6*!

There was extended maintenance last week, and the compensation was really good. I don't remember the specifics, but we had a nice little chat on the discord about how Gumi gives basically nothing and Epic Seven's devs actually give good compensation when they fuck up.

Before I forget, don't forget to click the launch and penguin forest banners and go through and claim your rewards. You get a bunch of extra rewards just for playing the game right now. I ended up missing out on a bunch of freebies because I didn't know about those.

According to the extremely detailed patch notes (http://m-page.onstove.com/epicseven/global/main/view/2441340) we're getting a bunch of QoL improvements already (about a month in), and they're giving away a pretty good ring to celebrate 1 million downloads. I love how much info they give us, instead of really vague statements that don't explain anything.
