So whats the most efficient way to level up characters in E7? Penguins dont really do much once they start to hit higher levels.

I tried redownloading Epic Seven since it was recently patched, and it no longer crashed on me, so I'm playing it now. I stopped rerolling the selective summon at 24/30. I got a 5* unit names Basar (Earth Mage) on my 3rd reroll, but opted to keep trying since everything else was 3*. Every reroll after that until 24 never saw a 5* unit, but any 5* was an artifact instead.

Finally, on 24th reroll, I got a 5* unit again, Tywin an Ice Knight. The grouping also came with a 4* Earth Archer, Silk. Rather than press my luck, I kept it.

From what I've messed with, stars act not only as rarity but level and boosting caps, with each star=10 levels and one node on the Awaken star chart. The pain comes from 1)needing characters of the star you want to promote to -1(so promoting from 3 to 4 needs 3-star characters as materials, 4 to 5 needs 4 stars, etc.) and 2) the last few nodes on the star chart needing specific "catalysts" as material.

As for breaths of Orbis, I heard the heart and the mission ones are decent.

Ooooh, I was wondering whether I was actually going to have to sacrifice the gacha units when I went to promote Alexa. Now I know why people bring monsters along for leveling and such. So once you get a really strong unit or two, you can take them to farm missions for like event currency while leveling fodder for promotions. Now I see why it takes so long, because you have to level a ton of fodder to do it.

And I know Penguins just exist for leveling units, but are Phantasmas the same? Why would you need two different units as experience fodder?

My only complaint, about 30 minutes into Epic 7, is that I play all my games with no sound since I'm usually in the presence of other people and don't want annoying sounds to bother them. So I've missed out on any dialogue that might have been happening during the anime sequences so far.

The story outside of cutscenes at least seems to keep me informed as to what's going on, but any of those 30 secondish videos that might have talking are completely silent.

As far as the Sanctuary goes, I put my first Breat of Orbis' into being able to raise 3 animals in the forest, then I went to max out the workshop. After that I maxed out the rest of the forest, and now I'm working on the thing that generates Skystones and gold.

As far as leveling goes, once a unit reaches max level, some of their experience gain gets added to the unmaxed units, so that speeds up the process. Penguins don't do as much later on, but by just playing the game they'll level pretty well (especially when guild buffs are up).

As far as Phantasma's go, they're best used as fodder for character promotion. Right now I have 4 of them at 5*, and I'm 3 4* phantasmas away (just need to run them through crack in the world, this dungeon that gives massive XP, since they get an innage XP boost) from getting Destina to 6*.

I also save the 2* fodder units that I find from normal gameplay and level them when I get the chance, they're really easy to promote to 3*, and can be used as fodder to get Phantasma's up to 4*.

Not sure about the Ice Knight guy, but Silk is decent. I swapped her out for Kiris once I pulled her though. The star base a unit has doesn't really mean a ton at this point. 3* units like Kiris, Alexa, and Carmainerose can outdamage some of the 5* units.

Yeah, Alexa is doing amazing right now. I've given her two crit sets, and with those plus the Rhianna & Lucianna Artifact, there are turns where she gets four attacks off. It's so cool to watch her take down an enemy faster than Ravi would. I'm really hurting for an Earth element character though, haven't gotten a good one of those yet, and Silk's missions seem time consuming, to say the least. At least the kills mission, no idea about the Transfer Stone gift.

I really need to find the motivation to get through Sieghart's Story missions, because I need that UoC ticket. Beyond that, I can tell my motivation to play is dwindling like everyone else's, and Sieghart's banner isn't helping matters.

Of course, I also hit my first story roadblock in E7 at 4-4. Too many water enemies, no good wood allies, too many fire allies. I'm trying to raise a Wood mage, but man does he suck, and Alexa just can't carry me like she used to. But when it's between him and a 3* thief, yeah, I'm kinda stuck. Really wish Silk was easier to unlock.

So instead I'm trying to blitz through as much of the Side Story content as I can, and start building up resources from Hunts and the like. Oh, and finally chase down Orbis now that I know what they look like on the map. The game is definitely holding my interest for now, but I worry that the game won't have staying power. They're being exceedingly generous with energy and gold and stigma now, but what about once the Launch Event goes away? The pull rates feel FFBE levels of low too; but of course I don't have quite enough of a sample yet.

Isn't the UoC stub in the first level of the story mission?

I have a Kiris up that should do quite well against the water enemies. Just use her third skill (grants her an extra turn) and then her first. It'll stack a mountain of poisons on whatever you're fighting if they aren't fire.

Just switch to the archer/ranger friend tab instead of the lead supporter and you should see her there.

As soon as I went in I noticed that it was. Guess that makes sense, no need to gate UoC tickets behind the hardest content. For some reason I forgot that was how they did it. Got through it, got my Zargabaath, and just seeing those beefy HP stats on part with M. Ramza and those awesome CD skills is making me want to find a trial to take him on a testdrive for.

Also, I made the mistake of actually reading the text of the first story mission. Oh dear gods, I didn't think I could hate Sieghard any more than I already did. I mean, I'm sure he's basically lying (I would not be surprised if his brother and sister actually despise him, and I kind of hope that's the case because it would at least add some dimension to the character), but ye gods even his lies are so horrendously embarrassing to watch.

I may have a loathing for Lassworm being a whiny, petulant brat about...well, everything, but he at least has some redeeming qualities. His dedication to Rain in particular. But while he is a complete embarrassment of a leading character, he's not Sieghard. And that suddenly makes Lasspuke a fair bit more tolerable.

Can we just have Folka's story already? That's pretty much the only one of the Veritas I actually liked, and I'd love to see her background in more detail.

Oh, and on E7 stuff, I do like the ability to share a unit of each class. That is incredible, and more gacha games like this really need to do it. I just wish people realized you actually can do that, because my friend list really isn't filled out with folks that do. I'll give your unit a shot Raiden, and see if I can get through that chapter. If I can't, I'm not too fussed about it. At this point, it'd just be for a mad rush to try and get all the cinematic missions, and that's not happening in time anyway.

I didn't even realize this was an option until I asked the Discord people if they wanted me to switch to Cecilia for a share, since everybody there seems to have Destina. I love that option.

Nah, it totally worked. And I had done some leveling of my equipment too, since that was pretty badly behind. Right now I'm debating if I want to go through the effort to get Alexa to 5*, or try and get some of my 3* units up a bit more. She's doing amazing work for me, honestly better than Ravi in some battles, but I know it's a long, drawn out grind to really get that far, and I'm in no position to really grind at all anyway.

She's definitely helpful once you get her up and running, but having a really large level gap can cause problems as you go, since you'll basically be down a party member or two pretty quick in harder content.

Just faced the most annoying arena team ever, and it was because of one unit.

A Rem that used Siphone Delta almost every turn, dropping the MP ago all my units with 400+ to ZERO on Turn 1, and then she Mechanical Heart/Counter-healed back up to full by the end of every turn of just basics/limit bursts.
