Am Drag vs Miz

You misspelled Miz vs BEST IN THE WORLD

Shane?

Im confused.

They're currently teasing either Miz going mega heel on Shane or Shane somehow going heel on Miz by having Miz constantly call them "Co-Best in the World" and trying to team with him and stuff

So what the hell is the plan with Am Drag then?

I thought the whole point all year was to get to Miz Vs him at Mania, and then when he turned heel and won the Title, that just proved it....

Why the hell would they do all this to not lead to that....?

Unless the plan is AJ or Cena... but both of those are equally stupid. AJ cause the fued would have to go 6 months, Cena cause it would come out of nowhere.

I think for Cena Title 17, let him win MitB and then disappear

And then you never freaking know when hell show up and cash in

I really dont think you have him win 17 without a ton of build up. MitB is the worst way to do it....

(Well, AJ winning it, handing it to Cena, and Cena losing it to Jeff Jarrett patter that night is the worst way to do it....)

Who does he lose it to?

Especially if the plan really is Brock AJ?

Who the hell is the #3 (male) face on Smackdown right now?

If it isnt AJ or Miz.

Do they turn Shinsuke or Joe (at least close to that level) and have them win it?

It's honestly kinda unknown where they're headed right now. Bryan/Miz seemed like a safe bet, though Bryan being heel seems to complicate that a bit, so I assume it's not that unless Miz gets turned face in the process of the rumored Shane turn.

Why do they have to turn all the authority figures?

We dont want to hate the guy on the screen all he time making matches for us...

It made sense with Vince, cause we had Austin. We havent had an Austin since Am Drag at 30.... so what the hell is the point....

WHY would the people in charge ever want inferior people to win all the time?

Stop. Right there. Cena/Orton has been overplayed to death and the only reason some of us would ever want to see it again is if Cena's the heel and Orton's the face.

Edit: Or if it's a retirement match a la Rock/Austin WM19 where the loser STAYS retired.

Bryan didnt just bring the necessary visceral excitement, although he did that.

???

He also delivered the first true Daniel Bryan match in years.

this seems to be a consensus so maybe I should switch my favorite active wrestler to...
...uh
.......is Jericho still wrestling?
..........Kairi Sane let's go

it was enough to wink that this match wasnt about to end and keep it from taking on the same tired, demoralizing aspect of a typical Lesnar squash match

Bryan was technically a villain and convincingly being a gleefully violent prick, but somehow did all of this in a way that was clearly designed to make you root for him.

you immediately believed that somehow, DANIEL BRYAN could get BROCK LESNAR to tap out.

In fact to put things into perspective it might actually be my favorite WWE Bryan match, and keep in mind I only rated it ***3/4.

Most of the typical choices for good Bryan matches didn't really work for me. That one really did though. In fact the more I think about it the more I think it might've actually crossed into **** territory.

This is a truly great promo, as Bryans new interpretation of himself is somewhere between Best in the World at What He Does Chris Jericho, and Dude Love heel turn Mick Foley. He doesnt think the fans actually care about him, they just cared about the story and the moment, and werent there for him while he was struggling. Its the psychosis of a workhorse who took forever and did every step of a recovery to get back what he wanted, only to realize he was the only one fighting. Nobody had his back. They just put him in new places, gave him TV shows, made him general manager. Nobody believed in himlike he believed in him, so why should he go out of his way to rely on us?

My favorite Bryan has always been confident heel Bryan, where his incredible skill and elitist personality get to really shine. Ring of Honor World Champion Bryan Danielson was a guy who was so good at basic wrestling fundamentals he could take on the most impressive and threatening athletes in the world and beat them with arm bars and small packages. The original Yes movement came from this self-obsession, as Bryan started doing it after winning Money in the Bank, claiming he was going to wait and announce his cash-in like a respectable babyface, then saw and took a cheap opportunity to cash in anyway only to constantly, loudly praise himself for making the right decision. Thats whats so amazing about babyface Daniel Bryan; his character has never really been a good person. Hes a rage-fueled, casually-deluded wrestling master who got told he wasnt good enough so many times he started internalizing it and channeling it through boastful displays of skill and tenacity. Hes not valiant, hes stubborn. Its not that he has heart, its that his brain is so singularly focused that it wont let the rest of him give up.

Its not that he was rewarded with a comeback because hes a good person who worked hard; hes back and WWE Champion because his indignant nature and need to be in control Weekend at Berniesd him out of that chamber and into the ring. Why do you think he was always screaming yes and no, and wouldnt even give his tag team partner credit for being half of the Tag Team Champions? He wanted to be both halves.

All hail The New Daniel Bryan, the scumbag we all accidentally learned to love.
