He seems to know about being COOL and DRAMATIC. I almost forgot about characters hiding their face until I started looking at way too many League of Legends character designs. Seems like I should like him a bit more, and I'm still not sure where his final placement will end up being, but there's just something about Jhin that I can't put my finger on... he just feels like he doesn't inspire that much emotion out of me.

Maybe it's because, at the end of the day, he takes off his cool monster mask and he's just a NORMAL DUDE. Fan artists seem to think he's really bishounen, though.

Jinx


Ah, here we go. Jinx is another character I'm actually familiar with, and that's probably not a surprise to anyone in particular. I remember reading this on some random comment chain in the past, which is obviously a great source of information, that they were pushing Jinx pretty hard around the time she was released. I have heard the Get Jinxed song but it was from a cover artist on youtube that I watch somewhat frequently. Imagine my surprise and shock when the actual Jinx seems to have a voice that sounds nothing like what I'm familiar with.

I like how she's incredibly super pale compared to almost anyone else, characters with weird or unnatural skin colors are always interesting and visually appealing... that being said, it still feels like she just has a normal skin tone, and it'd be better if she was actually more like sylvanas or widowmaker or something if they were going to go that route.

Her personality is pretty noteworthy and she seems to convey a lot of style and character in a very efficient way. All that being said there's nothing special about Jinx that I really like aside from maybe the fact that she has really creepy red eyes. Also does anyone else get the impression that they were trying really hard to make her The Joker of riot games?

Final Placement: Ehh... She's very scrawny, and I don't really tend to like skinny/small characters that much. She has tattoos all over like half of her body, and I'm not really a huge fan of tattoos either. Her personality and style are actually fairly cool and unique and that gets her a lot of points, but there are multiple ways in which she doesn't really feel like a character that could make my own personal top tier(s)

Also I keep doing this thing where I put characters directly below Camille because that feels like a pretty clear dividing line where I start to like characters more, so I'm gonna add a line there and maybe rearrange the size of each tier -- keeping all placements the same and just changing the benchmarks so you have to beat Camille to get into the cool cyborg or cooler tier.

Kai'Sa


Apparently she's the daughter of the void who shoots void bolts and blasts at enemies. See, how much harder is that to come up with the tiniest bit of flavor instead of just calling them "energy projectiles"???

The core of her design is awesome with the fixtures on her back. I also like the cool markings on her face, they give her a more nonhuman appearance despite seeming to just be a regular human. It was actually pretty tough to tell so I even went and checked her biography. It says that she is human but she was altered by THE VOID. Whatever that is!

Then I did some more investigating and it sounds like these void powers are sort of like fused to her body or they are a part of her now. So in a way she's not fully human anymore. Good enough for me! Under her biography there are tabs of like, I don't know, maybe it's supposed to be concept art. But one of them shows her in her Void form but with some of her human bits still exposed, I think that's my favorite of her designs. Not sure if she can walk around like that in game but it doesn't match any of the skins.



Skins... She only has a few. The K/DA is nothing special really. Especially for a music video that was all about presentation and style she almost feels like the most boring out of the four. The Bullet Angel one looks god damn amazing. Possibly one of my favorite skins in the topic so far, and we're almost up to 50 characters ranked at this point!

I mean, you have to not think of aliens as just coming from space. The weird energy dimension is most accurate, but they are aliens considering they are foreign to Runeterra.

For some reason the wiki has her listed as TBA The Spear of Vengeance which I found pretty funny. Apparently they forgot to update the wiki after they learned her name. As a blue skinned undead lady she's probably gonna rank fairly well. Also, spears are cool.

That being said her body is kinda gangly and weird. Plus, being a specter, I'm guessing she basically weighs nothing and has no real body aside from her gear that she makes float around. I mean I've heard of having no meat on your bones, but she literally has no meat or bones.

Still a better waifu than a pathetic normal human. In fan arts like the one I posted she actually looks pretty good, too.

Karma


TBA The Enlightened One. Okay at this point either something is wrong with the wiki as a whole or something is wrong with my browser. I should probably look into that. Karma is apparently a boring human but at least she's reincarnated or something. That's at least somewhat interesting. Honestly despite being just a regular human she's definitely one of the better, if not the best looking one I've seen so far.

Not that looks are the only metric by which I am ranking and... oh who are we kidding, that's like 90% of it. The other 10% is THE VOID. I'm surprised to say that, honestly, my opinion of her went down after looking at her skins. Most of them are pretty low quality and detract from the simplicity of her base, really good design. The only one that lives up to the hype I had after seeing her portrait on the wiki is the Sun Goddess Karma one, which is admittedly great.

I had to put some extra thought into whether she ranks above Caitlyn or even Aatrox, but once I skimmed through some of her fan arts and stuff on google search I did start to feel like she is solidly above Caitlyn at least. New best normal human reigning champ!

(It's sad when fan artists on deviantart can capture what makes your character cool and appealing more than the official game designers and animator but oh well)

I played the game back in like 2012, I remember Karma being possibly the rarest support hero in the game.

She got reworked in like mid-2013 and has been one of the more common support (or support-type mid lane sometimes) champs since. She does come and go with meta shfits though.

I personally can't stand her in-game though.

The deathsinger is basically just your standard undead lich. Not my favorite monster or even undead design, but he's fairly cool. The statue of liberty inspired splash art actually looks pretty awesome. All in all a solid midcarder.

Kassadin


Another somewhat cool monster character. I think his helmet looks a bit corny but his pre-void skin also looks really generic so there's really no winning... until you see his cosmic reaver skin which looks legitimately badass as hell. I feel like I've praised more than a few of the cosmic skins by this point so it's clear whoever did that set is a master far above the level of the standard league character design team.

Katarina


A human assassin who throws knives. Enough said. She's kinda cute, I guess. Not really my type. Although having a scar on her face gives her lots of bonus points so I guess she'll still rank decently against the very whatever-generic characters.

Kayle


Looks to be some kind of paladin that is actually an ascended angel or demigod or something. Interesting choice to have a female character who wears a mask that covers her face but I'm sure they have various skins and other reasons for her to remove the helmet. That reason? It's called fanservice.

Overall cool. An evil, monster, demonic race would be better than an angelic one but at least she's above the level of puny humans. Sadly she's named after a vegetable that hipsters eat. Not sure how that'll affect her overall ranking...

Man why was nobody making fun of how edgy this guy is before right now. The fact that his name is so similar to the last entry is very offputting in a subtle way but aside from that I think he's kinda hilarious. The idea that some people out there think Kayn is actually cool cracks me up -- the fact that some of them are likely adults is... I don't even know how to process that.

Also someone was paid to design this character when I'm pretty sure they just stole all of his design notes from a middle schoolers notebook. I'll stick him right near the guy who looks like a ripoff of V for Vendetta.
