To be honest there are definitely times I'm going to vote for the mute or Pokemon or mascot over the "deeper character". I'm voting Charizard over basically anyone in the bracket including deep characters from games I've actually played.

I think if you went through every possible combination of characters, even from games you've played, you will eventually come to a situation where you would vote for the inferior "character" in the poll. And once I realised this I kinda got over it.

This is different though I guess. I think another problem is GameFAQs' shallow love for character design and names. "Ellie" is a meaningless name and face compared to blue-haired KOS-MOS.

ANY game is only played by a tiny minority of gamers. The vast super majority of people voting have likely played neither game featuring the characters they voted on. In the case, whom people vote for comes down to other factors like the better picture in the poll or whether or not either character is recognizable at all.

I have no idea who Ellie is. I didn't play her game I don't own a PS4. I did play Xenosaga a long time ago on my PS2 and I enjoyed it. KOS-MOS wins. Do you understand how this contest actually works, now?

For what it's worth, KOS-MOS was also in both Project X Zone games for the 3DS. Granted, those games didn't sell "crazy" amounts, but it did well enough to keep her in mind probably. I never played the Xenosaga games and only remember watching like half the anime, so my vote comes mainly from PxZ.
