you are assholes!!! gigantic ASSHOLES. OK So I'm front register in my store every now and then but that also means I have to clean every corner of the store and take out everysingle trash while restocking everysingle thing up front. I'm forced to wait until the end because only I can ring up orders. These three kids walked in at 9:59 pm, and of course they walked in right after I finished cleaining the bathrooms so when I walked out every one was shouting for me

After I finished taking care of the three fuck-sketeers and their big ass order for all their fat asses I was so behind and I couldn't finished cleaning everything which means I'm gonna get fucking shit on tomorrow for not doing the one goddamn thing I'm fucking supposed to
fucking FUCK people who walk in late man find something in your fucking fridge to eat!

Now I'm staying up late, I gotta finish this dumb ass calc homework within the next 20 minutes (our school has digital sumbissions for hw, due at 11:59 usually) and I fucking hate this shit. the fuck is implicit differentiation? This is so fucking I haven't had a goodnight's sleep in ages. and all this college application fees fucking suck humungous monkey dick why the fuck do I have to pay to apply somewhere? why is everything due before 11/01? why the FUCK DOES FUCKING TEXAS THINK THEY'RE SO SPECIAL THAT THEY CREATED THEIR OWN COMMONAPP KNOCK OFF FOR THE ENTIRE STATE INSTEAD OF USING THE GODDAMN COMMONAPP ITSELF FUCK THE DIPSHIT WHO THOUGHT THAT WAS A GOOD IDEA TEXAS AIN'T SHIT

Places around here stop taking orders early, and in fact, seriously early sometimes which is freaking annoying.

I wanted to get a pizza from NY vinnies. I love their pizza. I called at 9:22 to order a pizza to pick up. They said "Sorry we stopped taking called in orders at 9:22. I live 5 minutes away so I say "Ok, I'll just come into the store and order a pizza then, what time do you stop taking them.". They responded with 9:24 lol......they REALLY wanted to leave early I guess.

I get not taking order 15-20 minutes before you close (though you should have it on your website/sign etc), but 40 minutes before you close is just rediculous, and it's not even a place you can eat at...it's all take out/pick up...so it takes a whole 5 minutes MAX to ring someone up. Doesn't take long to make the pizza either, mostly just gotta wait the 10 minutes for it to go through the machine.

So the other side kinda blows too. I wouldn't go sit down at a place when it closed in 20 minutes, that is just rude, but....you shouldn't stop taking orders over 30 minutes before your official closing time either.

I work in a restaurant. I understand its annoying when people come in five minutes to close and REALLY annoying when they sit there for an hour or more

But its part of the job. Your hours are what your hours are. If you close at ten and they come in at 9:55, then you serve them the same as if they came in at 6.

If you dont like those circumstances, get another fucking job. Dont cry about it like a bitch.

No, no it's not. The old saying the customer is always right is bullshit. If a customer is wrong they must be told so otherwise they will walk all over you. Told my boss I refuse the saying and it sounds like he understands, but then again I've seen assholery like peeling prices off to try to get a discount, or going behind a building rather than ask where the bathroom is.

What you'd need to do is stop taking orders a reasonable time before closing kinda like how a minigolf that closes at 10 will stop allowing walk ins at 9:30 or so. People can play until 10 but not show up at 10 and waste an hour. Fact is you don't need a different job. You need to send those dick pretzels someplace else to be trouble.

It does suck that he'll get in trouble for that, though. It would suck if you couldn't clean everything because you were the only one who could ring up stuff and you couldn't finish because of people who want to come in super late, and then get in trouble even though you had no time because of your hours... Work harder

Not necessarily. It sounds like he's doing the job of multiple people. He's cleaning, but also on the register. They could have less workers than normal. It seems weird that he's the one who's cleaning, but also has to work the register. And it's weird that no one else can. So, it sounds like he's doing multiple jobs that would normally be for multiple people. But that's what it sounds like from his first post. If that's the case, then it's possible that this scenario hasn't happened before and that no one has actually done this better, or even at all...

AllstarSniper32 posted...

I didn't say it was all the customer's fault. Though coming in late does is kind of shitty in certain situations. I just said it does suck that he'll get in trouble in the end for all the stuff that happened.

Sorta, if you look at it like the customer comes in late and demands to be served. Food takes time to prepare. The staff had a long enough day. When I worked at Toys R Us 20+ years ago, they shut down the register lanes at closing time (and there was an automated "The store is closing in 15 min" message that played over the in-store radio), so if you weren't in line at that point, you couldn't check out. All you have to do is tell whoever walks in near closing time that the register will be closing in 5 (or whatever) minutes.

Target, as well. And they would go around telling people to please hurry. And when the store's closing time was reached, they would basically tell people they had to pay and go.

The old saying the customer is always right is bullshit.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_customer_is_always_right?wprov=sfla1

It is a slogan that been distorted far beyond it's original meaning. The customer is often wrong, and typically, I've found that the louder they are, the wronger they are.

The problem especially lies in the fact that far and beyond, management will usually bend over backwards to placate the most unreasonable dipshit customers and throw their employees right under the bus in the process. Bitch, this is the policy in place*

*Unless you make a huge fuss, then the rank and file employees are wrong for even daring to attempt to enforce the policy they were trained to enforce.

It has been a problem literally everywhere I've worked for 30 years. Why bother having a policy in place that management will break the second a customer raises their voice?

I could rant for several posts on this issue, but I'll let it go at that.

This so much. We had people sign a contract and agree to the conditions. Then they try to back out. I wouldn't let them. Then our boss would say to let them have everything back and tell them they can't sell to us anymore. When she could have just kept what they already sold to us. They literally signed a contract. This so much. We had people sign a contract and agree to the conditions. Then they try to back out. I wouldn't let them. Then our boss would say to let them have everything back and tell them they can't sell to us anymore. When she could have just kept what they already sold to us. They literally signed a contract. Just let them fuck off... But whatever...

That makes no sense. I'm pretty sure a contract means that it is legally binding.

I know. I told her that all the time. But she just didn't want to deal with it. She just said to give them their stuff back, take back the money, and tell them they could sell to us anymore...
