Nobody cares? I suppose a lot of people have it for the PS4 or XBox One, and other people had enough of it on the PS3.

It was a garbage quarter assed remaster

I was really hellbent on the idea when it was originally supposed to be released but then I got the Witcher 3 so that's me for the unforeseeable future

Now I'm wondering if I'll even enjoy it at all, seems like Dark Souls is one of those games that people play because they like hurting themselves

Largely due to how easy it is to hack on the PC. From what I hear, its still doing okay on consoles.

Because the remaster didnt actually fix anything that mattered. Original DS1, 2, and 3 all have higher player counts because of how garbage the "Remaster" is

What didn't it fix? Remasters mostly improve the graphics of the original game(s), they don't really do much or anything else.

I mean... they couldve in the very least, did something about a lot of the more exploitative meta mechanics... Also, the amount of hackers grieving in earlier areas is abysmal... Like, play through most of the game in offline mode abysmal.

People get rightly annoyed when they rerelease an old game with a slightly better coat of paint and don't fix any of the bugs or balance issues that plagued the game to begin with

They did change the matchmaking system though. If you have a higher level weapon, you won't be able to inavde, summon, or be summoned by others if they're not in that weapon range.

That's what killed my interest in the remaster. There's no reason to do a low level run now and no reason to challenge yourself to get strong equipment early. I bought the game day one for the Xbox, sold it after a month, and don't plan on buying it for Switch; especially since they (intentionally) delayed it long enough to make you pay for online.

I played it on the ps4 for the recent release. I'm burned out on that series for now to care. Nintendo should had pushed it to be ready with the original release cause I was ready to get it then.

DS1 is the best dark souls but the remaster leaves a lot to desired. Nothing is really improved over the original that is really necessary.

Even going back to my 360 version isn't terrible. The graphics still hold up and the last isn't as bad as it's made to be. I can get through blight town with no issue.

That being said Bloodborne is the best souls game.
