Pretty much all the characters are nerfed in the mcu movies --- Just because you're trash doesn't mean you can't do great things. Yeah, AoU was the tipping point for me between watching every MCU movie and only watching the ones that really interested me. Fox Quicksilver, while fun, is closer to DC's Flash than he is comic Quicksilver. Then the movie ramped up a last-minute-sorta conflict that's resolved so fast that you're left thinking "Wait, how is this an 'age?'" The ~~following Captain America and seasons of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D did more to service the aftermath~~, but the film just felt weak as a whole. If it wasn't for ~~the aftermath where so many people died and actions were eventually taken for another reason down the road~~, I'd say that Avengers 2 failed to raise the stakes at all.
