My employee handbook actually states that we're allowed two on lunch. I have never done it. If I have two beers I can't work four more hours without getting sleepy.

I have a medical card and sometimes I hit my vape pen at lunch. That doesn't negatively impact my work at all, and honestly if I feel like crap before, which is often due to my health issues, it actually makes me a better employee.

I never did and probably never will. The reasons is because just having one is pointless, I don't want to rush my beer and I'd like to keep a clear head when working. Plus if it's a customer facing job I don't want to smell of booze.

I wouldn't, but mostly because I don't like beer period. But also, because when I DO drink, I'm drinking to get drunk/tipsy, which I wouldn't do while working.

Generally speaking, I don't drink at all unless a party/social event is involved, and I don't mind dedicating the whole night solely to being relaxed and chill.

There's a lot of jobs where it either doesn't matter, or is literally allowed, so this isn't really true.

I just got back from a lunch where several employees were drinking beer, and we all work for a multi-billion dollar company making 6 figures each, and no one has been fired.

So yea, you are just wrong.

My coworkers and I grab lunch together every Thursday and occasionally we'll have ourselves a pint or two. The strongest I beer I had was maybe six ounce of 10% ABV. We do have rules against drinking at work but so long as we don't make a scene when back at work, there's no issues with it.

I have before. Probably a good amount of times. But only during my military job. My other job involves driving, so none for that one.

For the military, though, we would usually have some on Friday on swing shift. And we actually had the supervisors buy us some for a work day a couple weeks ago. And it was free for us. Pretty awesome. Also, when we've gone out to lunch together, sometimes we'll have a little. Like one bottle or such.

Swing shift was out third shift. For us, that was 15:00 (3:00pm) to 23:00 (11:00 pm). Though, on Friday, we stayed much later. Like usually until 1. But because we live in a moist county, we had to get any alcohol before midnight. And we would drink while still technically at work. As for the difference, Military just contains all the branches. I was specifically in the Air Force, though. So, I probably should have said that. But if you're in the military, you're in the military no matter what your job is...

Idk. I mean, I would guess it's probably more infantry than branch like the Air Force. But they also have jobs that aren't that. Even though I have a bunch of family who have been in the Army, including my dad and like half of the men in my family, I can usually tell you more about Air Force than another branch. Haha.

Is this for elementary, middle, and high school only? Or college too? I can kinda understand it not allowed when you're among minors but if among other adults, even 18-19 freshmens, I don't see any issues with it so long as they can still teach the class.

I did it a couple times at my job, was a mistake since that place was so fucking boring already like 90% of the time. I'd think "Well this'll make the day better" but it just makes a long slog of an afternoon even worse.

I'd like to try it again if I ever have a job that is actually enjoyable. But if I have to think too much it's probably not a good idea...
