Iirc he's not American. A lot of the rest of the world has different standard on bathing than us. And just like I figured if its normal, people are used to it and more nose blind to body odor than us.

Yeah but its literally not good for your skin to go without washing. You can even get sick more easily if you dont practice regular hygiene.

Not true on the sick part. I get sick less than my brother and many people I know who are clean freak when it comes to personal hygiene.

Its actually not uncommon for me to go over a year with some minor sniffles being the absolute worse I get. Brother gets sick all the time. Plenty of variables sure but he's better at pretty much all of them. He exercises, I smoke and drink. Thanks to his gf he eats more healthy meals than I ever will. I eat unhealthy as hell my saving Grace keeping me from being fat is I have a small appetite.

I shower enough I shouldn't be smelling bad when I go out in public.

But if I'm not leaving the house fuck that. Don't see a point I never have company over anyways.

Showering once a month is good enough. It keeps me smelling nice for the whole month anyway.

Daily baths/showers is actually a fairly new concept that only started within the last 100 or so years. Back in the days before modern indoor plumbing, bathing wasn't that easy or simple, so people only bathed once a week, if even that often. Heck, in the cold winter months, people may have only bathed once a month since bathing in the cold can be dangerous.

I was having terrible skin issues that all stemmed from showering too often. Problem is I train grappling and honestly its nasty to not shower after. So I have to find a weird balance where the days i don't go to the gym I don't shower at all.

But then I don't feel CLEAN

I would rather spend the $20 every 3 months to be clean and presentable rather then save the money and be a nasty grub.

edit: Actually it might be less then that, I forgot I get charged $7 every 3 months just to have a water line.

Nose blind comes from getting used to a smell. I know I I'm used to work at a horse ranch

However one would know a smell stinks first in order to go nose blind by it thus if possible do something about it yes? I'm not sure why you think a country that is well known for it's obesity is the pinnacle of being hygienic.

Did I ever say that? I feel America is too heavy handed on hygiene.

Plus we are not the most obese country. Everyone makes out like everyone here is obese and its far from the truth. Last I checked Saudi Arabia beat us in that and they weren't even the worse offender.

Why you getting defensive? I take no issues in Europe's hygine srandards

There is nothing wrong with being nose blind if you take that as a insult that is on you. People In days before bathing everyday was possible I'm sure didn't have much issue with bo that's what I'm getting at.

My issue with the obesity thing is it feels like your slinging mud because you got offended as the two are separate issues. One can be obese and still practice good hygiene.

Why are you assuming I'm nose blind? Also you implying that USA folk have a better sense of smell thus are more hygienic is the issue here.

I'm implying obese folk tend to stink more. Not only due to sweat but due to the fact that any form of movement probably is a effort for them thus "good hygiene" is too much work. I'm well aware this doesn't apply to everyone in the USA. I'm just pointing out how your statement is incorrect. My point has always been it's down to the individual if they stink or not and USA residents are no different in that regard and you certainly don't have a higher sense of smell as a nation.
