Still annoyed that it's releasing in October because I was going to binge horror this month. Originally my plans were to re-watch seasons 1 & 2 before watching 3, but there's no way I can do that this month and I doubt I can wait until November to watch DD3.

Unlikely just from that. However, supposedly the season is based on a storyline where he learned Daredevil's identity, thanks to Karen Page who got addicted to drugs then became a porn star to support her habit. Given that the actress is a total hotty, the pervier part of me is hoping for a Karen Page porn angle >_>

About time for a new season of Daredevil.
I'll have to finish season 2 of Iron Fist before I start with the new DD though.

That actress was nekkid a bunch in True Blood so it's quite possible...and I admit, I wouldn't mind it either....at all:)

I don't think it was official till the trailer dropped that fisk would be back, but maybe I just missed something. I'm damn glad though. I really liked the Villian in JJ season 1 (and a bit in 2 kinda..well his memory whatever)....but Fisk is my favorite so far by a large margin.

Supposedly his character is um....gonna explode lol. I mean we were not dealing with the kingpin yet, just Fisk.......there is a metamorphasis that is supposed to happen, I think in this season.

This makes up for no Stranger Things for me TBH....it's a weird month for it...but yeah, I'm stoked.

DD1 he was just doing generic crime stuff and targeting DD. DD3 he'll be on a campaign to ruin Matt Murdock, Foggy, etc.

Yeah, she is mega hot in True blood actually. Was stoked to see her in DD in fact. She plays a kinda innocent vampire and kills the role. Might be the sexiest vampire in the show tbh. She was very popular.

It's a shame they're making kingpin the central point of season 3- I was hoping we'd see a new main villain every season, and I thought deadshot (or w/e his name is) was going to be that for s3.

iirc, Matt didn't even headbutt him. I think he just punched him. I remember Kingpin slamming him repeatedly and then Matt hitting him, after which Fisk goes, "Ah, the boxer's son."

Yep and he got punched by DD at the end of S1, I figured that was what made him start connecting the dots

IIRC somewhere toward the end of season two he asks to review the Murdock files, or something to that effect, and in the context of the scene it was clearly implied he was suspicious of Daredevil's identity. I can't remember enough specific detail to explain but I do remember that was the obvious implication.

I didn't like Season 2 as much as one, and I have already seen season 1 3 times (and season 2 twice), so i can't rewatch them again ...at least not yet.

I would actually watch season 1 again though before season 2...even though I remember the events of the first season way better already. It was much better in my opinion. Kinda glad **** is dead though......he was kinda annoying to me.

Season 2 was a mess because it had two separate major storylines, one of which was meant to get the Punisher off the ground.

Yeah, over all........looking back. I think I like JJ season 1 over DD season 2....but it's pretty close. JJ season 2 is my least favorite between them all though. DD season 1 rocked...but...almost in a bad way as it was all a let down from there honestly. Hope season 3 redeems it.

I really didn't like Stick lol.

Rest was ok. Not a big Punisher fan but he was bareable in Season 2 of DD (couldn't make it through his own show though).

Main thing for me was I really liked Fisk as a villian. The first season was GREAT......I was so impressed. Then JJ came out and that was quite good as well. Great villian.

Season 2 of DD was before any of the crapfest shows that came after (LC/IF etc).....so it was a bit of a let down. Wasn't horrid.....I wouldn't rewatch something i didn't like, but it wasn't on the same level (to me) of DD season 1 and JJ season 1.

Same with JJ season 2....both were let downs..but not bad.

Fisk is back though, so...I'm hoping it'll be a good season.....the last couple (LC and IF) I had to force my way through.....actually still have not made it thorugh season 2 of IF...guess I have to force myself to finish it before DD season 3).

I like Foggy and Karen as well, best "side kicks" of them all (Both are awesome in their own ways). Almost as happy to see them back as Fisk:)

He's by far my favorite villain of the entire MCU franchise, comic or film. He's strong and he's smart but he's also deeply flawed and they don't shy away from depicting him having trouble or losing his shit. And the fact that he's so socially awkward in public is great. Every other Marvel villain is horribly two dimensional at best. And then there's the Thor 2 villain. Eck.

It's been eons, but I believe Kingpin started off as a villian with Spiderman, and....yes....in a few cases they actually had him fight toe to toe with spiderman. That didn't make too much sense, even though the Kingpin is above normal human strength. They basically played it off I think like he is a mutant (but not that kind of mutant), being massive but all muscle (kinda like a very large gorrilla).

I don't think he really should be qualified as "just human" in such a case, but for whatever reason that is how they played it.

They changed things a bit later when he started to mainly be Daredevils primary villian though, and DD actually defeats him multiple times. DD really should NEVER have been in the same weight class as spiderman (or even close) even though they did plenty of crossovers (don't think they ever directly fought, but...they both fought the same enemies many times.

Spiderman should be MANY times stronger then Fisk, faster then him, has spider senses and webs etc. There should be no content. I believe if I remember right Fisk even grabs spidermans webbing at one point and swings peter around by it. The difference in mass, and the fact that spiderman isn't super heavy, could make that possible, but...considering peter picks up cars and throws them etc, it just seems silly that some normal (or slightly above normal strengthed human) can do that when he can stop/catch a extremely heavy car being thrown at people or a crane falling on them (with his webbing) etc.

So yeah, Fisk doesn't always make sense, but he is still a great villian, and one of my favorites from the old day (always liked Black Cat as well if you consider her a villian...I'd say she was almost more neutral really).

That's why I said by far. His current portrayal may not rank high among the history of cinematic antagonists but D'onofrio plays him very well and he's the best we've got by many miles. So personally I hope they keep him around, front and center for as long as the show runs.
