no, i've had disabled patients who were mean af and no one liked them. It's their right to a certain extent but we don't have to respect and feel bad for them no matter what. Plenty of people who have been through the absolute worst experiences who are sweet and kind and understanding of others still.

Again, I won't name the user, but yeah, I asked once why he was being such an ass to me and it came out later he has CP and gets mean when he isn't feeling well.

Paesan in my building is blind. He's got a beautiful, smart, seeing eye dog. He was behind me walking out of the building. Obviously, regardless if the dude is blind or not you're gonna hold the door open for him. Didn't this guy fucking snap on me, not even like nicely, like yelled. "HOW CAN THE DOG LEARN IF THE DOOR IS OPEN??? HE HAS TO KNOW WHERE THE DOOR IS!". So ya, fuck that guy.

The response I would immediately think to offer would be something like "HOW THE MOTHERFUCK CAN YOU GOD DAMN EXPECT ME TO KNOW THAT?!?! DO I SOUND LIKE A MOTHERFUCKING MIND READER TO YOU?! I HOLD THE DOOR OPEN FOR PEOPLE BECAUSE IT'S FUCKING POLITE AND COURTEOUS!! IF YOU WANT THE DOG TO LEARN TO OPEN THE DOOR, YOU CAN FUCKING POLITELY ASK TO SHUT IT BEHIND ME WHILE CALMLY EXPLAINING THE SITUATION TO ME IN A MOTHERFUCKING INDOORS VOICE SO THAT I KNOW WHAT'S GOING ON, INSTEAD OF BEING AN ASSHOLE AND RUNNING YOUR GODDAMN MOUTH AT ME AND MAKING ME GO TEN STEPS OVER THE TOP ON YOU!! Now, I will calmly shut the door so your dog can learn to open it for you and you can learn how to speak to other people in an acceptable fashion. Have a nice day."

But, while fuck that person, the dog has done nothing wrong and would likely become frightened and/or agitated, so that wouldn't be very nice of me. I'd be a passive aggressive prick to that guy from that moment on though.

No, but some people will go to the "oh, woe is me" mindset and stick in it/start being more disgruntled, etc.

Some of the nicest, most sincere people I've met in my life had physical disabilities of some sort. Some of the meanest, most cynical people, too.

It just depends on the individual if they're gonna latch onto the negativity - just like anyone else cus they're still human.

You don't need to be physically disabled/handicapped to find an excuse to act like a shit person.
