No, when you find that brand, you find that brand. A lot of times, there's no turning back, like BBQ sauce, or apples.

Raw, they are incredibly slimy. Almost like trying to eat thick phlegm, actually. And that's not an exaggeration. The flavor also is something you acquire a taste for - it's incredibly "seafood-y"
Cooked, they are not as slimy. Oysters firm up and become a little bit less seafood-y in smell, but more pungent somehow. Smoked, though, they are nice and firm but the smoky flavor mixes with the seafood flavor really well That all being said, I prefer mussels to oysters 100% --- ... Copied to Clipboard!
