Ace Attorney S2 Episode 6 Spoilers. It's an anime original episode.

I'm still not sure what to think of von Karma outside of 1-4. Hiding behind a wall and waiting for Edgeworth to finish his Argument seemed like a strange thing for him to be doing. While it could be an act for the media, saying his record means nothing and he fights for justice also seems to be a strange thing for him to say. I guess in my head I always pictured von Karma as a much stricter person than he is.

It was neat to see not-Missile get screentime in the episode. RIP Missile.

So playing spirit of justice

Pretty disappointed that Sahdmahdi was the prosecutor on case 4. Having him hop back and forth so much between countries is dumb. With it being a short case it seemed a good opportunity to use, like, Gavin or somebody else. I don't like when prosecutors get overused, like Blackquill last time (since he also prosecuted the DLC case). I'm already getting bored of Sahdmahdi and I've got one more case to deal with.

Game is decent so far though. Probably the best third case of the series? Idk

And this one hasn't been too bad, Blackquill helps

A lot of AA6 is pretty much just recycled stuff from the trilogys best cases (1-4, 1-5, 2-4 and 3-5). If you hadnt noticed earlier, Rayfa is pretty blatantly trying to be Franziska from the short time she was Wrights assistant in 3-5.

This Phoenix/Edgey bit is already solid gold. "I have my sources" "well tell your sources I look forward to his next salary review" and an AAI reference, cool. Man I miss Gumshoe =(

Also this conversation with Ga'ran calling back to Phoenix's lowest moment (fabricated evidence and people losing faith in lawyers) and then Edgey's (his Von Karmic pursuit of perfection is also really good stuff

I am so not into Sahdmahdi though. He's just grating and his theme music is pedestrian. Don't care if it suits him, it's not fun. Actually having given it some thought 6-4 may be one of my least favourite cases of the series because it's so out of place. The others tie together so well to create a good story but that one just stopped it in its tracks. And Sahdmahdi prosecuting it again was a wasted opportunity to give us a break from him.

IMO two things save 6-4 from being the worst case in the game.

I don't think the fanservice is even any good. Larry is probably the worst he's ever been, they didn't bring back Gumshoe, Phoenix and Maya act like literal children the part where they're fighting over Soren's journal and they manage to DROP IT IN A POOL OF BLOOD is quite possibly the most cringeworthy part of the entire series.

That Ga'ran assassination plan is the most ridiculous thing I have ever seen

Just write out the plot in the simplest, most obvious way possible and hide it in the easily guessable safe

Lots of mysteries here.

Working theories:

Nayna is Apollo's mother, idk
The "real killer" (Nahyuta? After all the callbacks, "the prosecutor did it" would hardly be out of place given MVK and Godot) dressed as a royal guard to get in and out.
If the game goes by without the mother being channelled I'd be shocked

There is so much shit here to resolve in one trial day. No idea how they're going to tie this all together.
