Crikey! so i've played for a little while. fun game so far, not as slow as the first few hours of persona 5 (or so it seems). I'm probably going to be comparing this game a lot to persona 5, since that's probably the best turn based I've ever played

is there any point in moving around the battle field during a fight? or is it just to look cool?

I think we're mixing up parts here

Part 1 Everything up until the first time you reach Yggdrasil.
Part 2 Everything after Yggdrasil until you go back in time.
Part 3 Everything until the end of the game.

Despite the credits happening at the end of Part 2 I still don't consider Part 3 as post game. You are fixing the things that went wrong in Part 2.

Also I've yet to go back and finish Part 3.

At that point Hendrik was carrying the group doing massive damage. Hero too. Most of my Act 2 party was Hero, Hendrik, Rab, Sylvando so that I could always out heal the annoying status effects, which is a shame because I really enjoy Jade.

SO I'm only like 3-4 hours in. I like how this game isn't as slow paced as persona 5- the first three hours of P5 were like all exposition lol.

I also like how you can customize your characters stats/moves from the get-go as well. the skill board kinda reminds me of final fantasy 12.

Pretty fun game so far. Not a whole lot has happened in the story yet. MC and erik went to cobblestone to find everything destroyed. They went to the waterfall and are now headed elsewhere (I forgot what it's called)

Well, don't leave it too long, just enough to knock another game or two out of the backlog. The pip skill method is quite speedy, I went from mid 60s to L99 in under two hours. :P
