If the most exciting thing in your town, the only thing that draws any sort of economy whatsoever, is high school sports then clearly nobody in your town should be living there

in fact i almost feel that we should treat big cities like China does Hong Kong
they're special districts, almost-sovereign entities that form their own policies
we'll have distinct urban and rural policies

because people who don't know anything but going to the high school football game friday night to watch their cousin Cletus play then hitting the bar that his cousin can't even get into to join his fellow high school football enthusiasts who haven't done anything worth mentioning since graduating from high school, if even that

That wasnt what China wanted, it was the agreement they abided by for Britain to cecede the Hong Kong territory to them. It was only supposed to last a few decades then China gets full control. But theyre starting to break the agreement now that the rest of its cities have increasingly become economic centers to rival Hong Kong. It no longer has to rely on Hong Kong as much and its why its starting to rush to gain control of it. Hence the Umbrella Movement.
