for about 3 years i've noticed under a very light bathroom light in the center there is an area with a lot of scalp showing, but if i take a picture and look at my scalp i don't see that area, or if i look in a mirror with not as much light i don't notice it either. when my hair is wet or sweaty i notice it more so, but hair kinda looks that way anyways when its wet i think.

i've asked my doctor, he didn't look but he said its nothing to worry about because by looking at me he sees i have a lot of hair. but he didn't personally investigate the scalp. i've been to two hair dressers in the past year and they said they've seen worst and that they really don't see nothing.

well i do notice besides that middle area of my scalp when my hair goes in different directions that i see scalp in other areas. but my hair is usually always a mess as it is, i cant comb or brush it right. i keep forgetting i'm an actual human being and not an anime character so i guess to an extent you will see your scalp.

not sure but having a similar issue I think the hair there is thinning. if you pat your head, you should notice a much "slappier" sound (and harder feel) on the balder area, which is because the hair there is thinner, whereas in other areas it's much more padded.

i have been taking zoloft and rispiridal for years, i wonder if they could be the cause, if i'm actually balding. i have noticed that area of my scalp since sometime in 2015, but it hasn't progressed or gotten worst.

hard to go with internet searches since everyone has their own theory on balding, but i did read a thread from some site and it said that bright light can make your scalp appear that way when nothing is happening.

i'm using computer camera so the images aren't of the highest quality, but its all i got:

bedroom light is bright.

Hair thinning is a normal thing as you age. Some people lose a lot more than others.

i'm 26 now, my hair definitely use to be very thick when i had it longer. the next time i had longer hair which i got cut earlier this year, it definitely was thinner this time. or appeared to be so when it was greasy most of the time. i try to just not look or think about it much anymore, but sometimes i get obsessive about it. it does poof/thicken more after cleaning it still, but gets thin looking again from getting oily quick.
