Trying to order some food online.

"Add your tip now!"

Ehhhhh, do people even understand how a tip works? It's supposed to be something extra for good service, not some required amount because your job is costumer service related.

In Canada tipping isn't a normal expected thing... except at buffets for some reason.

Those places sound like desperate, failing establishments. Nobody good needs to do that.

We get that all the time when ordering online from the big pizza chains. I don't know what my husband's exact thoughts on it are. To me, it seems fine to just give a normal tip because all they have to accomplish is hand me my food and let me sign the receipt. No one has ever failed to do that.

I never tip. Period. I'm a cheapskate and I don't like to waste extra money if your being a good service provider of sorts. We could learn a thing or two from the E.U.

The thing that pisses me off is when restaurants sneak in 18% gratuity without notifying you beforehand or putting it on the menu. I'm a good tipper but that shit makes me want to take the added gratuity off along with whatever tip I would've left. If you're going to add gratuity, you should tell your customers beforehand

...what? Tipping is absolutely expected here in Alberta. And I've never tipped at a buffet.

If someone is waiting on you, you tip them.

Seriously. I feel like it's a ploy when they do that. Like "Haha some people aren't going to notice and will leave even more money!"

That happened at a thai place I went to recently. My friend didnt notice the added gratuity and left a ridiculous tip. I luckily noticed
