New TT details:



We get no SS rewards, which I'm not too happy about because I don't want another MM, Clive, and Tobin to take up valuable barracks space. MM is absolute trash fodder, so if she's not 5*, why even bother. I would rather these rewards be distributed in other ways that don't clog up the regular TT slots

Alfonse's refine is probably the best. I'm thinking TA is not so great with the new arena changes, so best refine is +Def, yes?

Anna's refine looks the worst. She is getting shafted left and right and there's no good explanation for why. No alts. Not a TT bonus unit, and mediocre refine out of the Askr trio

Why would you let Clive and Tobin take up barracks space? Not like either has particularly useful SI fodder. I keep one of each around for competionist reasons but even that's a questionable idea objectively; there's zero reason to hold duplicates unless you plan to merge them.

MM is a good reward for those who use her, she's getting close to +10 now if you've gotten them all (I forget the exact number). Pretty great considering how ridiculous her refined Falchion is. I prefer regular Lucina for aesthetic reasons but it's hard to begrudge them handing out rewards which are useful for some players even if they're not specifically useful to you or I.

Though I do agree that I'm not sure this is the best way to distribute these units; I hope they'll come up with other ways to distribute these units just so their fans will be able to +10 them before 2025.

Clive and Tobin are decent fodder, it's just annoying to keep them around until I have a need for them. I don't like to get rid of limited units. I have all the free GHB and TT units and think I only foddered off Michalis, Tobin, and Clive. At this point, it is kind of silly to hold onto Navarre, Narcian, and Clarisse. I still hope some of these get a new weapon to bring them out of obscurity

I just wish we could pick our TT rewards. Masked Lucina getting like 9 copies is great if you wanna use her but why can't everyone's favorite TT unit be that high

I'm actually really annoyed I missed out on the first MM Tempest Trial, because I want to use her but behind 2 merges behind the max potential would suck.

If they wanted to make money I feel like they could just do a special banner with the TT units, kinda like seasonal characters. It'd give big fans of those characters not just a chance to merge them as much as they want, but also find a good boon/bane.

Re Clive/Tobin:

The only thing Clive has that's remotely valuable is Hit and Run, a skill I personally find highly situational which is anyway available from Clair in the 3-4* pool (and is largely interchangeable with the also common Drag Back to boot). The only thing Tobin has that's remotely valuable is the Armourslayer (maaaybe Pivot?), also a highly situational skill available from multiple units in the 3-4* pool.

I've sent home more Hanas, Donnels, and Clairs than I can count at this point so I'm not seeing a compelling case to hoard Tobins or Clives.

I've definitely foddered multiple Camus (Goad Cavalry), Robin-F (B Tomebreaker), Lloyd (Iceberg), Fallen Takumi (Fury)... probably others, I dunno. Interestingly I don't think I've ever foddered the ones you have though that's a bit of a personal oddity in the case of Iote's Shield I'll admit. Gronnraven+ Spring Camilla was at the core of my early flier teams though and she kinda mocks arrows without needing Iote, and more recently there's a sacred seal.

Tobin is not only bad, but his Heroes incarnation completely deviates from his character. Nothing in Echoes suggests hes clueless.

I'd draw like hell on a banner with TT or GHB units depending on the units, that's for sure. Seems like an obvious way to make some money so someone will figure it out eventually.

Got a Minerva in around 50 orbs. Not great IVs but that's the first one of her I've pulled which is something I guess.

Got a Libra (who starts at 4* now and is 4*) and a Sumia (+Atk/-HP not bad)

Think I'm on the wrong banner.

Micaiah came along almost immediately afterwards on neutral IVs so I'm happy with this banner for the time being I think.

Just summoned using orbs for the first time in forever and after 100 orbs, got my Summer Micaiah. And as if to answer my complaint about my previous one having the most useless boon possible as +Spd/-Def, this one's +Def/-Spd. I can't even be mad about that.

I don't quite get the hype surrounding the next CYL banner. All three non-original characters have had alts since the vote, so it isn't like we've been starved of popular characters, and just because last year's had some top tier units doesn't mean the same applies again this year.

I spent all my orbs on vanilla Micaiah so I'm out for this banner. Probably wouldn't summon either way since I'm not a huge fan of using alts, would rather just rack of merges for the original. Although Elincia with actual good art is tempting.

Finally got a 5* off one of these rotating banners, and it was something better than the focus at that with a Nephenee. Already got a +Atk/-Res one so doesn't matter her nature is bad.

Wish more units had Wrath. Would like to make her a merge project but only her and Karla have Wrath...

This banner net me my first freebie 5* as well in Minerva. This was the third banner in a row that didn't give me an option for the color I wanted most (blue this time), but I suppose I might be able to do something with Ward Fliers.

Keep in mind Shigure has ward fliers at 4* so don't make a point to skill inherit her the ability is no longer that hard to get

Minerva herself is a lot more useful as a unit than for Ward Fliers. Goad Fliers is almost always going to be better. I have a +Hp -Def one, and she is still quite good with the weapon refinement

Finally beat Infernal Takumi. That one had been the one stage that I hadn't managed to beat. Mostly cause Skadi ruins Matthew's Rogue Dagger wall BS which is my go to for hard content.

Managed it with Serra Matthew Soren FGrima. Just had Soren and L&D Grima blitz the right side kinda hard to thin out attackers for the Skadi round then played it defensively as usual. Once the panic is done it's not too bad.

Man, I wish Takumi's GHB was around on rotation. It's one of the few I really enjoy. It's harder to approach than most others, and it seems actually thought out(Even if Dazzling healers is ez mode for annoyance).

Yeah, I needed to use AI manipulation to beat it in the end, queuing them up on the left where Fjorm and a healer could wall them whilst B!Cordelia picked off the stragglers. Even then I needed certain seals so that Cordelia would survive a trade with the bow cavalier with 1hp.

It is definitely the hardest GHB to-date. Beating Lunatic with an armor team was doubly challenging since it's the hardest team to beat content with. Had to get inspiration from someone on Youtube: he used Sheena with Smite to move BK and Hector down the line on the right side, which was pretty clever use of a skill that's never used. I had to make my own modifications and do trial and error many times before I settled on my Lv 19 Effie on Smite duty while my trained Effie went down the left side and LH Hector on the right side, with BK staying in the back and teleporting as needed. Wonder what the quests will be like once these maps become the regular rotation next year

Yeah I literally would not have been able to do the armor mission had I not lucked into Christmas Robin with Armor March to be able to blitz down the left column with him + Valentine Hector (backed up by teleporting Black Knight late). That one was still fairly difficult though since you lose a lot of options with armor and move slow by default.

So I already know I'm never seeing tier 20 with this garbage an arena bonus lineup.

Pretty much every single unit is going to drag your score down. I have to rock Alfonse on a Lucina season.

I'll be using legendary Lucina. She should be good enough for me to get back to tier 20. I still have no plans to upgrade the askr trio.

I was in the same camp of using a 4* Alfonse with no skills, but with my first wave or TT orbs I got this morning, I pulled a neutral Elincia (my fourth green dancer, sure whatever). Pretty sure she's gonna be more useful that Alfonse.

I got another Leif yesterday. I suppose I could put him on my auto-battle TT team sometime, too bad he's not a bonus this time

Got a +Res/-HP and a +Def/-Spd Leif. Probably better to keep the former, and will hold onto the second in case I want to use him as Drive Atk fodder

Frederick at least has blessed me with two good options among 4* draws for him

+Atk/-Spd if I want to make him mounted Cherche by giving him a Brave Axe+. Honestly not the worst idea. My unmerged Cherche is super useful. Having another one for Arena Assault that trades +1 move and flight for 2 less attack wouldn't be bad.
+Def/-Spd if I want to try something different. Almost think +Def/-Res is better if I'm going that way though.

Alternatively 5* Arvis cause I always thought he was cool.

I'm a tad disappointed we didn't get the music for that battle in as well; FEH is very lacking in RD tracks. We're still just at one IIRC? They've pretty much used PoR music over RD music at every opportunity for some reason.

The extra points for kills with Lucina in the arena is pretty nice this week. Three maps down, and 9 total kills. Most of the time, I feel like it will just be lost points since I have to babysit the bonus unit
