I've dropped back to rank 20 trying to accomplish it, but I haven't been able to pull off my 11 card 144 damage from hand combo. 112 is my max so far, I believe.

I plaYed some shadowverse after admirable told me to.

I havent played in a long time and now they have like formats and such but I have like no new cards but a few unlimited decks.

Its weird because the same decks i saw like a year ago are still played in the format.

I just tried to brainstorm what the maximum steal potential would be, and this works wonders. You just let them have their Obsidian Statues and take everything else. So far it is 4-0 against Big Priest and 5-11 against everything else, but by god that 4-0 feels amazing.

The Shadowboxer deck was actually super annoying, I've played against it once or twice. It wasn't GOOD, but if something from this expansion makes it viable then it would definitely be a problem. The combo isn't Shudderwock-tier in terms of length but it was up there (although, I think turn length might have prevented it from being a guaranteed kill). So it's a good preemptive nerf imo.

Warlocks killing themselves is always amusing. I just had a terrible draw against even warlock yet still won. This is the entire list of cards I played:

Hunter's Mark
Explosive Trap
Grievious Bite
Coin
Kathrena
Animal Companion
Dire Frenzy

With only those cards I had turn 8 lethal lol

How does Odd Paladin get Tirion from Stonehill? I was under the impression the only three choices were three instances of Tarim.

I generally tend to agree. Yes, they're legendary, and yes, they're supposed to be powerful, but damn if they don't singlehandedly win games an awful lot of the time.

The hero cards are good. Grindy strategies in Hearthstone were generally pretty bad for a while and you need these big haymakers with strong repeatable value to make it worthwhile.

I get the frustration with the power gap between them but I don't think that's a problem with the card type.

I swear, I've never faced an odd paladin who didn't draw level up. It's never happened.

I'm exaggerating of course.

The concept of that deck just frustrates me. It's based on inflating value without spending cards. Since you can never know whether they have a card like level up or maul in their hand, the correct play seems to be to spend the whole game using cards to counter their hero power.

Every. turn.

Anyway whatever that's just the game I guess.

It's more fun to hit the button and make two dudes rather than one doubledude.

Paladin likes buffs. It's better to make two bodies for a buff to potentially stick to than to make one slightly bigger thing.

Also, the Paladin hero power makes Silver Hand Recruits. Those are 1/1, and they had already made cards that care specifically about Silver Hand Recruits when they made Justicar, so it wouldn't be consistent to make a 2/2 Silver Hand Recruit or a new thing that isn't a Recruit. At the time, the synergy of the bodies with Quartermaster and Warhorse Trainer was part of the point.

Turns out when you don't have to draw and play a 6 drop to get the hero power, it's really good.
