Only guy who seems to consistently deliver news segments on time. His airing times are out of sync when I am out of work so I only get to see a bit of his content. He really puts a lot of effort in tho.

Also the fact that he can't keep his streams up anymore due to DMCA claims (He got a DMCA claim on a video that was playing during an MSNBC segment) probably means that none of you will understand why he has an empty Youtube channel.

I don't follow it much online - I catch maybe a blurb of whatever's headlining Yahoo's front page. I tune into national/local TV programming for more in-depth coverage of current events.

Game news? Various sites. Anything else, what's the point? I don't bother. May only hear about it on sites like this. TV news is based around profits and ratings. The newspaper is only good for coupons and comics.

GameFAQs, I guess. I don't actively seek out news because a vast majority of it is irrelevant to me. Sometimes if I know something is going on, I seek out articles about that specific thing by Googling.

Philip DeFranco on YouTube.

He delivers the news in an unbiased way, with no political affiliation, in terminology you can understand, and manages to make it more feel more human than the mainstream media. He also focuses on stories that the mainstream media often stays away from, or looks at it in a way the mainstream media doesn't have the courage to.

He also raises questions, rarely needs to make corrections, and encourages discussion and participation on his channel. He always takes requests, and is just a genuinely good guy.

The dude is the best source of news I have come across.

LMFAO you have to be shitting me.

This is what's wrong with America these days. People complain about how bad the "mainstream media" is but they watch fucking shit like this. Just looking at those video titles you can guess how biased this guy is. And I can guarantee he doesn't actually source any of his stories or do his own real journalism. At best what he does is commentary, not "news". TBF I'd say the same thing about most of the content on MSNBC or Fox News, but those at least do some actual reporting.

Same thing with Philip DeFranco. And unless he has changed since the last time I saw one of his shitty videos, I wouldn't describe him so much as "unbiased", but rather somebody who appeals to moderation fallacies ("the truth is in the middle", "both sides are equally bad", etc.) and is deliberately contrarian about dominant news narratives.

Who?

I am talking about a daily show that goes on for 4-5 hours where the guy I linked to discusses different news articles of the day. He is not pulling shit out of his ass.

I didn't say he's pulling shit out of his ass. I said he is biased, and he's just talking about other people's news stories. At best it's commentary, not news. The fact that you (and so many other people) watch some random guy on YouTube (with probably no educational background in journalism) talk about new stories, under sensationalized and heavily biased video titles, and consider it your main "news" source, is very troubling.
