Full Throttle 07/06/18 5:40:42 PM #1:	Do you think this redneck prick is "innocent"? - Results (0 votes) Yes % (0 votes) 0 No % (0 votes) 0 18 y/o Redneck Trash, Matthew Martin was found INNOCENT of hitting and killing 31 y/o Sherell Lewis Jr in Louisiana!! He was in his trashy pick up truck on the road and hit Sherell who was taking debris off the road and after he hit him, Matthew starts LAUGHING on snapchat to his friends writing he hit some "n-word" and rather than try to help him, he jokes about it with his friends writing how he hit a grown man and how much his car is gonna cost to fix. He even LAUGHED that the man died as he cared more about his poor "car" than the victim!! However, Police said they did a "thorough" and "comprehensive" investigation and said he did not violate traffic laws or from using his cellphone to laugh at whom he killed on May 29th. Martin was going 55mph but then slowed down when he saw him and switched to the left lane as he neared Lewis but as Lewis entered the right lane, he turned around and started walking back towards the grass media and into the direct path of Martin's car. Cops said he wasn't speeding nor was he on his phone except for when he laughed about killing a black man. The statement didn't address the controversial snapchat posts he made after referring to Lewis as a "n-word" and instead deferred that statement and said that what he did may have been morally and socially wrong, but he had his RIGHT to joke about it!! He said "I am appalled at the content of the social media messages that were posted after the incident. This post is unacceptable and has no place in our society. The inflammatory words that were used were morally wrong. Lewis was doing a good deed by removing plank off the road however we cannot charge the driver for being insensitive". Wrongful death suits require the motorist to be doing something wrong. If the cops established he wasn't speeding, he wasn't intoxicated, he wasn't using his cell phone, and the guy walked into the road, you're not likely to win a civil trial since all of the evidence you're talking about is in the boy's favor. In fact, the whole thing driving this controversy is his callous and racist remarks after the event. And, short of a slander/libel case, you can't really sue over mean words.
