"Moderate conservative" doesn't make sense. Conservatives, by definition, are not moderate. They're far right, just as liberals are far left. There's no such thing as a "moderate liberal" either.

I consider myself a moderate Republican. I think gay marriage should be legal, I'm pro-union, pro-life, for legal marijuana, for drug use decriminalization, for some social welfare programs (which just need refining), I believe in capitalism but understand we need some regulation, I'm for a strong military... That's pretty moderate if you ask me.

Someone who hardly brings it up, is probably moderate to whatever spectrum they tend to align with. If someone jumps in every political thread, or has skewed views about thier opposing side, then they are probably radical/far wing.

I gloss over, or just don't even click on most political threads.
