as much as I enjoy having him in the MCU, I also was one of the few people who found some good out of the Amazing movies. Amazing 1 was kinda dumb in some parts but I still liked it. and I liked the actor. I actually really liked 2, mainly for the ending. And I would have liked to see where it went from there. I would much rather watch Amazing Spiderman 3 than a stupid solo Venom movie that doesn't even have Spiderman in it

it's not perfect but it was a good try compared to the past. it was a step in the right direction. and they actually attempted something. but with Raimi, he just didn't seem to care and slapped some shit together

Amazing Goblin might still be a far throw from the comics version. but between the 2 live action Goblins, he wins easily

I'm not defending the design of the Raimi one but at least it had a solid performance to back it up. Norman Osborn was legitimately scary as hell in that movie. Then you have Amazing where they take Norman, turn him into a withered old fuck that died after two minutes of screentime, then made the Goblin look like an emo kid who fell in a dumpster.

I too liked the amazing Spider-Man movies to raimi's. I hated all of his except for the first one. But I disagree about green goblin, he was better in the raimi one. It at least was a mix of the ultimate universe and the regular universe. But instead of being transformed they just gave him a suit.

That thing in amazing spider man was terrible, terrible, terrible. In fact, I forgot he existed. Which sucked because every other villain looked amazing, except for the Mr.dumpster look.

But I think that's because the movies keep doing the origin story or shortly after. And that happens during high school, right? So, now that they have made a whole MCU, they can probably keep going with this version as he gets older or whatever...

Yeah. I think it's just different because the comics can just keep going. With the movies, they just kept starting over to retell how he became Spider-Man. I agree that I would like to see him grow, though. Plus, there are some cool stories to be told. Like Spider Island and all the multiverse craziness.

He says ignorant to the fact that Spider-Man and Iron Man both starting taking off in the *same* month (March 1963) and, more importantly, Spidey was still portrayed as a teen during Iron Man's early Avengers run which, by the way, also started in 1963. The time-line works for Spider-Man to look up to Iron Man, but Iron Man wasn't popular enough at the time so, if he was going to look up to anybody, it more likely would have been Captain America.

The fact that Spider-Man premiered in 1962 doesn't mean much when nothing was done with the character until the same month in 1963.

Completely wrong. And the issue with the Raimi franchise is even more egregious when you consider how much time they devoted to Doc Connors yet three movies in he still hadn't become the Lizard.

Each run had a good movie in it. I watched the 2nd Spiderman movie when he fights Doctor Octopus. its still a watchable movie. Im just glad they still are making the comic book movies (tired of the punk closet comic book fans) like its a sin to talk about comic books.

Yanno, I didnt mind Andrew Garfield at all. He closely resembled most forms of Peter Parker.

I liked the Gwen Stacey storyline knowing how it was eventually going to end

The movies were kinda weird (but I'm glad they didnt redo the origin story in Homecoming)...

... I just dont like kid, non-established Spider Man.. he's basically Tony Starks ***** and made fun of because the Amazing movies didnt take off..

In the MCU, the Avengers are considered A grade while Spider Man is like a C+ when in reality he's more well known than Iron Man and Co.
