Granted it has been like 15 years since I watched Cube 2, but didn't the only escapee get out because they worked for the company/government that built it and by watch-ex-machina knew the exact second they had to jump into a black hole or something similarly ridiculous? And then got shot in the head right after anyway so lol. Actually that would be a hilarious addition to the upgrade where even if they got out of the cube there was still a chance to get shot in the face.

Watching a playthrough of Vampyr. Dr. Reid seems like a great fit for Mercs. Battle wise may not be that strong, but his doctor skills and mesmerize seem like a natural thing for abilities. Probably a 4 for both abilities and combat I would say

Point Man is as seen in the F.E.A.R. series with fully upgraded Reflex and health. He begins with full body armor, dual pistols and is carrying (custom).

Paxton Fettel is as he appears in F.E.A.R. 3, though he may not physically affect the battle other than communicating to Point Man.

Paxton Fettel is as he appears in F.E.A.R. 3 with full telekinetic abilities. He is possessing (Merc), though there is no time limit to the possession and he cannot leave the body. If (Merc) dies, so will Fettel.

Customization:

Each week, choose three guns for Point Man to carry.

Shotgun
Submachinegun
Assault Rifle
ASP Rifle
Penetrator

They Deserve to Die. They All Deserve to Die (Start of Battle) - Each week, Point Man may call upon the services of his loving brother Paxton Fettel. Fettel will accompany him into battle as an assist and is as he appears in F.E.A.R. 3, although he cannot affect the battle physically. He is free however to scout and offer Point Man advice.

Alternately, Point Man may opt to cut Fettel's chains and allow him to possess an allied Merc for the week. That merc will gain Fettel's personality and powers, and they will be under no time limit to body explosion, though Fettel can't leave the body and will die when the merc dies. If this option is used, the possessed merc will be Injured the following week.

Ability Upgrade

Fettel may now body swap to allied mercs in the week's battle at his discretion, though doing so will instantly kill the last possessed merc.

Character Upgrade

Add the following weapons to Point Man's customization, as well as adding a weapon of your choice from the first list to Point Man's default writeup.

Terrain

Armacham Headquarters - The entirety of the office complex as seen in F.E.A.R. All security measures have been disabled.

Maybe instead of making Hypercube an upgrade, make a 2nd ability that changes the terrain for that day's match into a Hypercube (but the match still plays out like normal otherwise)

Read it again and I definitely notice some differences.

Forgot all about Yosuke and Junes. Again, no cash, but it's a place to go and there's opportunities abound. Don't really care about building up a link with Yosuke though. If Snake thinks Rikku inadvertently causes trouble, Mr. Yosuke "I Get Five Embarrassing Nicknames Before I'm Formally Introduced" Hanamura will be our nightmare.

Physical cards I'm not sure what the lowest you can get is. I know $5 is the lowest value you can buy directly on the xbox though.

And woo, this new character is pretty fun to play as. He doesn't have any projectile attacks, but instead after each 'launch' he is temporarily a bullet himself pretty much.
Also as you level him up he'll start unleashing a shockwave if you launch him towards the ground.

Leslie Vernon is as he appears in Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon. He is armed with a hand scythe and is covered in flame retardant.

Preparation (Peacetime) - Each week in Peacetime, Leslie may preselect one female merc from another team. If that merc is fielded in battle that week versus Leslie, he may force the battle onto his home terrain of the Vernon Estate with no bid required. He will also fight that week convinced that the female in question is a virgin, even if they aren't.

Ahab (Start of Battle) - Every aspiring serial killer should be giddy to find their Ahab. Each week Leslie Vernon may declare this ability on a randomly selected enemy merc. That enemy will want to kill Leslie in battle to exclusion of all else.

Upgrades

Ability Upgrade

Preselect Ahab's target.

Ability Upgrade

Once an enemy is chosen for Ahab, Leslie may additionally force that merc to use a preselected selected ability currently off of recharge. That ability will target Leslie (even if it is ordinarily a random roll) and become unusable thereafter for the week, though no recharge will be incurred on it. Ahab will then go on recharge for an amount equal to the cooldown of the forced ability.

Terrain

The Vernon Estate - Leslie's home as seen in The Rise of Leslie Vernon with all areas accessible. Leslie has pre-rigged the home with his standard setup, weapons rigged to harmlessly break, a car that will not start, etc.
