I did not expect Yuri to remove his Gear, they were setting him up to be great in the last episode but I still didn't expect it. And same with Aragaki coming back to train Joe. I gotta say this has been a fantastic series that hasn't let up yet for me. Good shit all around. If it sticks the landing I will absolutely applaud it. And even now I still do. What a fun show.

I'm interested in seeing the blurays because I'm hoping they a) add the option to watch without the downsampling and b) touch up some of the questionable animation of midseries fights. Fix that and I'll have really nothing negative to say about the series whatsoever.

For me, MegaloBox is an example of the importance of good execution. Like, the fights are all fairly formulaic and nothing about the plot has blown me away so far. Still, this isn't a story that necessarily needs mind-bending twists or flashy battles or anything. MegaloBox knows what it wants to be and it's tackling that story well while maintaining a decent emotional core for its characters. I appreciate that.

YESSSSSSSS the fights themselves aren't what do it for me, it's the development of the opponents and outside situations. So good.

Although I am still hoping for a good final fight, they've already established the two final people to a degree that I'm hooked on.

Changing the opening scene on the bench to the actual iconic cover art from these chapters with weakened All Might sitting next to Deku instead. That seemed like the entire reason they put that scene in the OP in the first place!

And because of Frieza's awful overexposure as of late I'd place Cell higher there as well.

Though if we're just talking Z then Frieza is obviously better.

Cell is my favorite of the major villains. Hes got a great voice in both versions and hes a good balance compared to the others. Frieza is pretty terrible since almost everything he says is monkey this or monkey that and Buu is all over the place because he has so many forms. Super Buu is pretty great though and underrated. Nappa is also pretty underrated too. I mean he was a dunce, but he still accomplished more than most DBZ villains when you think about it

It's funny that I remembered very little of the series from around after stain to somewhere in the middle of the last arc.

I'm just in the minority where I don't this material is really as amazing as the fanbase does I guess. Anime really did a bang up job with the execution though.

As an anime watcher I actually might say that the tournament arc was still the best part of the series so far, though the first part of this season is pretty close.

Honestly I think Stain has been the weak point of the series so far. Relatively speaking, I didn't care much for his arc or for the exams or whatever that came after it.

For me I'd say Tournament followed by Forest Training are my top 2. But there are some super strong ones still ahead, and there are a lot of individual parts/characters from arcs that I adore.

I really love stain's tmnt inspired design. Like original comic stuff. And the action was really well drawn and choreographed in a way most fights haven't been (that rely more on emotional highs).

If Forest Training is considered a different arc from the past ~5 episodes than I will say that my favorite arc is the tournament arc and it's not even close.
