I'm watching at work so I don't have sound but why wasn't he picking up more guns? Did he give a reason for that?

He ran out of guns during the dragun fight and I really couldn't think of a reason to not grab every gun you see for that exact situation.

Think he wanted to have the ability to instantly switch to sword at all times to clear bullets. I don't know if he actually said a reason though, wasn't watching the entire time

I think most people don't realize this couch isn't reserved or special or anything. It's just first come first served like any other seat.

Just to reiterate on this. It shows you how little the game is speedran and how difficult it is. His run while solid was rough at many points which could have cut time off of course. I personally can't do it, but I did question on regular enemies why he seemed so adverse to the flying decapitate. It had to of been much quicker than using charge moves. Though, it would incorporate RNG some as it is not always a 1 hit kill, and on later ninjas and demons, it usually takes 2 or 3 to reliably kill. Though, it does add tons of invincibility frames (which of course power moves do also).

Thus, charges up are probably better with later enemies, but early on in the game I feel it is faster to use that move on gunners and regular ninjas and such.

Geez, so that's what happened. A similar thing happened to peaches during his Kid Chameleon run, but it was just the main TV that went out and was salvaged by a backup screen so he just shifted his chair a bit and started using it instead.

How did the race end up? I only saw the first third or so

Scotty won with 1:10. Second place was just over 1 minute slower and third place was about 40 seconds slower than that.

I saw Dragon Warrior 3 this morning.

Actually pretty fascinating even though I'm sure it was super boring to watch in its entirety. I came in at around the 40-minute mark and they were still doing setup. I like it though.

Shantae and the Pirate's Curse was a good close race. Mega Man 6 race had numerous lead changes.

The guy who ran Ninja Gaiden Black got a PB.

Castlevania Bloodlines was really solid.

Tomb Raider (the original) was enjoyable to watch because the glitches are just amusing and don't ever get old.
