Finally got around to playing and beating Metroid Prime. As you may recall I was impressed at how Super Metroid lived up to the hype, but this might be even better.

I'll probably play Prime 2 and 3 at some point before 4 comes out, which I'm guessing will be 2020 at the earliest. I kinda doubt they had even started working on it yet when they revealed it at E3 last year

Prime is the only Metroid I liked. I got pretty far and I was exploring for a bit, and then I realized I was all the way across from where I was supposed to be and I didn't want to take and hour or whatever it was to get back, so I quit.

Metroid Prime 2 is not as good IMO.

Yeah there definitely was some backtracking, that's kind of how these games go though. I do think the backtracking works better in 2D since the rooms are linked up both horizontally and vertically, it leaves you with some easier paths. All the rooms in MP are more chained together, I guess you could stack them like 2D games in theory, but then reading the map would be a pain in the ass

I loved Super Metroid when I played it within the last year as well. It's just such a cool game with a great atmosphere. I want them to release the Prime trilogy on Switch very badly

Now I wish I had played some of these games back in the day, but all I owned was the GBA version of the NES version, and that one kind of sucks, so I think it scared me away from the series. Though it's also cool to play an older game all these years later and be able to really enjoy it without being influenced by nostalgia

(I mean the Classic NES Series, not Zero Mission; Zero Mission is great)

So I played the free Life is Strange thing last night. There were things I liked about it but overall I wasn't a huge fan. Anyway it has inspired yet another list: my favorite narrative/adventure games! I actually am not crazy about all of these but it was harder to find options than I expected.

One more thing about MP... the plot point about mining organisms to infuse into some sort of super-race made me think of RE4, which I got a kick out of. The gameplay in general reminded me of Half-Life 2 as well. But it's only a coincidence I made a list with those two games on it around the time I was playing this

I remember it was kind of cool for a while but then his ego over having his own board reached insane levels. I guess it's still better than the smug moderators here who act like assholes

I remember when Metroid Prime came out, how you could see her reflection in the visor, and the water droplets on the visor, and the environments looking gorgeous. It was a huge leap up from anything done before in that series. It was awesome. We probably take effects like that for granted nowadays since they're everywhere.

Me and @MNTwins1991 got up to some zombie killing goodness in Left 4 dead 2 on PC tonight. I paid $2 on steam for it. We had a blast and will likely be playing again soon if anyone wants to hop aboard this game train.

Shooting zombies was fun, but tomorrow I may have a date with Stardew Valley multiplayer. Have any of you played it yet?

I play it on PS4 so no multiplayer for me yet. I have a friend who hasn't played it yet and he's waiting for me to show him the ropes when we play together so it should be a good time whenever they get around to implementing it.

it's cool tho. I forgot I had plans to start a farm tomorrow with my 3 other IRL friends. (they're all girls BTW)

I have plans tomorrow to go to work and slave away for $17 an hour and then come home and be exhausted.

I legit told a girl to buy Stardew Valley and she excitedly said she was going to so we could farm together, then she added me on Switch like three months later and she doesn't have it. All she plays on there is Pokemon Quest and BotW, but she's on Pokemon Quest every time I log on. She also has a Naruto game and Fire Emblem Warriors

All of this is to say, Stardew Valley plans are not real plans, women farmers aren't to be trusted, and I will farm with you guys later but I'm in very high demand
