Iunno, it might not be a persistent thing. I've never really had romantic feelings for anyone, so this would be an interesting first. That might properly change in the near future, maybe. Therapy for other issues that could be connected.

Dunno if him being gay would make it better or worse, if those feelings start to grow.

Iunno.

I have severe emotional issues to blame for my having never been in love before, or had anything resembling a crush - y'know, the butterflies in the stomach and the awkwardness and all that stuff. I don't have those now either. It's more just a stronger feeling of attachment then I had in the past. Maybe for someone who doesn't have mild PTSD that'd mean nothing at all, but in my case it's extraordinary.

So yeah, maybe that will continue to grow into something more, or it might not. I'm getting back into therapy to deal with the overall problem, so maybe things will change as I start dislodging the problems and getting rid of them.

I don't know if uncovering a romantic side I thought wasn't there would be a good idea. As it is, I've never really felt lonely - it isn't just that love is a problem, the entire romance part of me is just shut down.

It's not really up to me if that changes, though. It might pop up on its own in the course of therapy.

My therapist today floated the idea that I might just be aromantic, after I had explained all the things which likely contributed to my romance issues. That was kinda odd. It'd be a weird setup - I'll fuck anyone but I won't love them.

I don't really think much about it either way. I don't spend time dwelling on how I'm not getting any action.

That's one of the things that has be hesitant about continuing with my therapy, the fact that the stability I have regarding love and sex and such might end up being horribly disrupted. Still gonna do it for the sake of resolving the much more severe problems I have, and I have no choice but to accept whatever happens.

It definitely is surprising how much more easy it is to be open about the bi-ness now that I came out to one of my coworkers. First one happened almost by accident. Second was a bit iffy, but the third was no real issue. (It was my super-gay boss, which was a factor for sure, the one whom I find incredibly attractive.) Number four wasn't remotely surprised either - she's bi and she told me right after that her gaydar was going off after talking to me a bit. Guess I'm more camp that I realize. >_>;

The moderation staff excuses are terrible. They're trying to say o was talking about all white men, despite designating mental illness as not being the cause of their actions (that is, shooting). And the lead mod is error so unless there's another one, it's 100% going to be upheld but honestly I expect this Nazi "anything that could be deemed an insult to white people, even specific ones, can't be allowed" mentality.

I noticed the decline when they tightened the rules, but not against lgbt people. Then it started to get better on that last part, then the merger and they took in mods from spot and it has gotten worse since.

Iunno why but I was really seeking out some blue shoes - these fit the bill, mostly. Plus they were on clearance where I got them.

It only recently dawned on me how much more care I give to my appearance now than in the past. That includes things like the aesthetics of the shoes I wear. Maybe that's kinda gay.

I had a bunch of emotional issues getting in the way of it all happening sooner for me. (Well - the problems are mostly there still, it's just that they've loosened up enough that I can breathe a little.)

It's only just recently that I think I've started to shake off my horrible self-esteem issues that would basically ignore all of the progress I've made (And I have made a lot) and say, "Why are you even trying? You've always been a lost cause, and you're not going to fix that."

Howdy! Houston pride was last weekend. Notable happenstances:

- Saw a dude from Florida whom I'd met and hooked up with about 3 years ago. He was in town for the weekend and found some friends of mine via grindr or similar. We... are an incestuous lot.
- Friend by proxy had never been HIV tested in his life so he was really nervous but he got tested while at the festival. All clean :D
- Ran into a coworker whom I had no clue was even into dudes in some sort of fabulous mesh shirt thing. I think he didn't know about me either and I too was running around with a bare chest. And here I thought I was alone in my orientation around the office, lol.
- Parade was awesome. Always welcome to see "out and proud" police officers as marchers. Lot of crowd and float energy; felt a lot like mardi gras

My average bedtime was 4 am. I called in sick to work yesterday to recover. Met with and am wildly infatuated with a hottie I met sunday evening and will be seeing again Thursday, having also become quite enamored with another dude from friday night. First world problems :3

I've never seen any reason to take all of the vitriol online seriously.
Some of it must be, obviously. But the internet is also packed full of shitty people (mostly teenagers) who want nothing more than to fuck with everyone, and guess what? Race, gender, sexual orientation - if you're trying to rile someone up, those are the things you go after. They're picking whatever is the sensitive topic du jour and running wild with it. They're also doing the same thing after mass shootings happen, or natural disasters.

It's the same thing with internet death threats. 99.99999% of them hold zero weight, but people treat them all seriously because...fuck, I don't know. I'm not worried about some random kid claiming he's gonna slit my throat 'cause, well - no he isn't.

Then again I'm also a broken, jaded fuck so maybe I'm not the one to listen to.
