Okay update

Noire's VA is as bad as I initially thought. Even the angry voice isn't as good as in Awakening.

It's like she thought to herself "what if I took the voice I did for Noire in Awakening and made it sound more like Peri?" Never a good idea!

Okay, I just pulled Noire and I would like to second this. Like wtf, it's so bad. When she says "This swimsuit.....it's.....a LiTtLe AwKwArD" it reminds me of Nicki Minaj doing her over-exaggerated Nicki Minaj voice on her Monster verse, except it's terrible and makes no sense. Easily my least favorite voice acting in the game, though I don't have Mia so I don't know if her voice is as terrible as I've heard.

Can you beat story on lunatic without 40+ units. I get that it's likely going to be much more difficult but if it's possible what kind of setup would you suggest.

Lunatic story chapters usually aren't too difficult. A team of 4x Lv40+0 5*s can usually win without requiring any special measures. The challenge maps are the Grand Hero Battles, Bound Hero Battles and almost everything marked as Infernal difficulty (story only goes up to Lunatic).

Yeah, I just listened to Mia's voice clips and I actually don't really mind them. I like that they went through the trouble to get the original voice actress from Radiant Dawn even though she literally only has like two goofy lines in the whole game. Her voice is still super goofy, but I think it suits Mia.

Noire's voice, on the other hand, I find to be incredibly grating. She's basically whispering in this annoying voice with this weird, unnatural cadence and then she randomly starts yelling. There's nothing about it I like.

Well, Noire had her moments where she'd yell, and she had her moments where she'd be soft spoken

Heroes Noire kinda has her do both in the same stream of consciousness which doesn't work.

That and both voices are bad.

I don't actually mind Mia that much either. One or two of her lines are wretched but on the whole she could be a lot worse.

It's super tempting to. I really want to save up for CYL 2 but it's really tempting.

But then last time I dropped 300+ orbs on that banner, I got 2 Xanders, Ninian, and heartbreak. So... I'll see how it goes.

On the plus side, I free pulled a Summer Tiki! I'll decide what to do with her later.

Also 5*d Alfonse. It didn't help as much as I hoped since I was still getting somewhat low matches( to the point I intentionally went into Horse Emblem just because it scored higher somehow).

Well tomorrow Linus is my bonus so at least that should be easier.

What are the new arena bonus units?

The changes to AA are even worse than I thought. I thought you received bonus points for any LH or blessed unit, but it's only for those matching the season. This makes it unnecessarily stressful because all of a sudden, you feel like you don't have enough blessings when they seemed abundant previously, and you have to think long and hard about how to distribute them because half of the blessed units don't give you a bonus when it's not their season. We still have to do 7 matches when arena is now just 5 and it's just really stressful.....

I gave blessings out to some of my teams pretty haphazardly. They give us so many that I just distributed them among teams I use most regularly.

If I cared that much about arena assault, I'd be merging an armored unit. No use worrying about it

What do you gun for with AA anyway? I tend to get in the 10k range if I just lead with my strongest party and go flawless throughout with Intermediate/Advanced through the rest without any real attempt to game the system whatsoever. If I'm more ambitious with the Advanced I tend to land in the 5-10k tier, less I go in the 10k+ tier. I know the rewards ramp up really hard if you can get like top 1k but that seems infeasible.

If that's all you're aiming for I feel like you can do it without playing their game though you may need to merge up a better point team or get your backups strong enough to reliably beat advanced matches with your strongest team taking point.

Point is don't feel for top 10k it's necessary to play to the blessing gimmick. Unless you've been merging strangely or not merging much.

Yea, I'm still hoping for more Eirika's and that perfect Nowi and Nino to finish my merges. I do what I can to boost my score because if my bonus isn't worth a lot, I get kicked out of 10k

Right now +10 Matthew +10 Serra +7 Tharja and +4 Valter is a high enough value point team to reliably get into top 10k if I only intermediate at most once. If I intermediate twice (I did it this week cause I only tried once and it was close to the buzzer-- finished with like rank 11k) it's when it gets shaky. If I had +10s across the board or merged armors (shame I don't like any of the common armors) it would probably be doable with two or three intermediates, which really is probably more than you should need unless you don't train up many units at all.

I lead with Tharja +8, Eirika +10, Fae +10, and Fjorm with the water blessings this week. Took advanced every time and landed around rank 5800

I sometimes forget the two Ninos I have handle things differently than the other. Flying Nino has Swift Sparrow, Heavy Blade seal, and a -Res bane of 22. Regular Nino has Fury, 35 res, and Distant Defense to bring her up to 41(Also 34 Def but I absolutely wouldn't bait an archer with a Pegasus)

Now that I guess that's out the window, I have to prepare my wallet for the possibility of summer Ephraim, hoo boy.

It's odd that they decided not to complete the Christmas and NY seasonals here. The new legendary has usually been paired with the least desirable units in the past, but this time we get Brave Ike and Myrrh? Green is really strong on this banner.

I'm 100% expecting Eirika and Ephraim on the second summer seasonal now. It's one reason I haven't summoned from the current banner yet.

Similar, I'd say. Myrrh is the best unit, and Steady Breath is probably a higher demand skill because it is not armored only. But we have had more opportunities to get Steady Breath so far than Bold Fighter.

I partially want to see CYL Hector be a Dagger unit and his weapon is still Armads. But I also want to see 4 Hectors in the game and see how pissed off people are that they're all Axe Armors.

I also feel weird about what colors I'd draw from.

Red: Yeah, I don't have W. Tharja or Leif, but I have Legendary Ike... 2 of him... unless I get a better roll, there's not much of a reason, and I fear getting him like how I got Sigurd out of everyone from Red in last banner.

Blue: I want Valentine's Lyn, kind of... Don't really need another Morgan or Ephraim even though I could get a better roll.

Green: I'd like Hector, but not another Brave Ike (whom I've already sacrificed one to my Tiki) or a Myrrh.

Colorless: ... I guess I can get a + on Elise, or finally a Grima. Or lol V. Roy.

Hey, at least you got the character you wanted with a good nature. Lene and Eirika are good ones too.

It's hard for me to get excited about this legendary banner. I like Hector and all, but a third axe armor with CYL on the way? Not feeling it. Myrrh merges are nice and all, but not something to pull for. And I still have two fodder Ikes in reserve.

Once again, Ephraim blocked by two units I don't want. Tana/Innes sound like a better option, but still have plenty of time there.
