I feel kinda bad for Elibe fans, I feel like their characters bat by far the worst average in terms of art quality. Lloyd, OG Eliwood, Rebecca, Gwendolyn are particularly egregious.

You can count me as one of those dozens if you'd like. Was pretty sure she was going to lose to Ryoma because Fates + New Legendary.

After that she was up against literally Ike so I told myself to stop caring about the VG because he's going to win again.

Until he didn't.

At that point I was more surprised The Benchlord made it to the finals.

Pretty neat VG overall I'd say.

Sharena the true benchwarmer. It took some convincing, but I don't regret upgrading Alfonse because he has slightly better bulk and can take on swords and greens with Swordbreaker, but Sharena can only take on swords WITH Swordbreaker and can't take on anything else. With the arena bonus, Sharena becomes less sucky and makes the chance I'll upgrade her someday not 0%, but I have yet to need her as a bonus in arena

I'm realizing that voting gauntlets are definitely my least favorite of the rotating game modes. I usually only participate to get the 4 orbs per round. I feel like the multipliers are so crazy that the winners are pretty much random, so it's hard to get invested.

Anyway, I bit the bullet and bought some orbs so I could cash out on that 11.5%, and I ended up getting a second Innes and a Sigurd. Not exactly what I was looking for, but I'll take it. I was hoping for an Innes with a better nature than my original +HP -Attack one, but I ended up getting a +Attack -Speed one, bleh. I would just give him a brave bow, but Leon already fulfills that role very well for me. I guess I'll just merge and hope I pull a better nature one in the future. And I probably won't get much use out of Sigurd either since I already have quite a few good red cavalry units, but maybe I'll build him more defensively so maybe he can carve out a niche for himself.

Merric's refine will be a good litmus test for how far they're willing to go to buff a character. He's widely considered among the worst in the game so I think they'll give him a token passive effect and call it a day. And considering how much they buffed Roy and Felicia when they weren't nearly as bad...we'll have to see.

Maybe ATiki's refine will finally convince me to upgrade her. Also looking forward to Linde's upgrade and hoping I can dust her off if she finally carves a niche for herself instead of as another Bladetome user. That -Atk hurts, though >_<

I'm anxiously waiting for Kagero's upgrade. IS really has proven it cares very little for daggers. They're still mediocre

I think Kagero's poison dagger is still relevant, just not nearly as dominant as it was when the game started-- I have a level 40+1 Kagero though (she was my first 5* but she had -Atk, so because I like her and because it'd be a massive upgrade I upgraded a +Atk/-Def one) and I find her useful in AA at least.

Giving it the splashing stat drop and letting the stat drop hit all targets would probably make her decent. If you wanted to make it actually good building in Death Blow 3 into it as a special weapon refine would probably be plenty.

I hope at some point they consider adding skills to buff a character rather than making. Give Odin a Power Overflowing skill that makes buffs on him more potent somehow and he'd be usable with just his Blarblade. (That kinda was the idea with him and then skill inheritance came out)

I'd even be happy being able to do a generic refine on Poison Dagger so you can get like +5 HP and +3 Speed or something. I also hope eventually we're able to refine Raven tomes and the Triangle Adept weapons. It seems weird that you can't already, seeing as they're not particularly powerful on their own.

While we're at it, it's a wonder why as integral to the plot as the Askr trio is, their weapons are still unrefinable. Also, they need to make Assault+ a reality, as there's basically no reason to use it now if your healer is 5*. Give it a 3/4 Mt increase and it'll be something worth considering

If I could actually merge Anna or upgrade her weapon I would actually consider 5*ing her. As it is it just seems like 20k wasted feathers even if she is one of my favorite axe users in the game that isn't 5* locked.

Breath of Fog is a Falchion in breath form basically. Unfortunately it's Falchion right down to a lack of distant counter.

Kinda think Lightning Breath is better sadly :(

Good for Young Tiki though if you don't want to give her Lightning Breath since Flametongue is kinda not good, but I don't see myself taking Lightning Breath off my Adult Tiki

I guess that's really good. Atk/Spd +5 make his offensive stat line actually decent and he keeps his bulk.

But then compared to Linde

At start of turn, grants Atk+6 to adjacent magic and staff allies for 1 turn. If unit is within 2 spaces of magic or staff ally, grants Atk/Spd+5 during combat.

A Blarblade with +4 to all stats gains 16 extra attack, while Aura gains 5 bonus attack if near an ally, making the difference 6 in Blarblade's favor. However, Aura's bonus also grants 5 bonus speed, doesn't reduce the special cooldown by one, and can buff mage allies with +6 attack. It's also better in cases where Linde doesn't have an ally around.

If you have another mage on your team, Aura seems much better unless you reeeeally need to nuke something with as much damage as possible. The loss in Attack is more than made up by the extra Speed and other perks.

Depends on teamcomps but I could see Linde's prf being better in many cases. Speed +5 on her stat line really opens up a lot of doubles on speedy targets

I guess Merric has killing edge and flying effectiveness which is a pretty big boost but I do feel like the enhanced Atk Spd Bond is the meat of the boost so it's weird to see Linde get that as well. I guess you could argue it helps him more than her though

Is Linde's weapon the first encouragement to use mages in... basically forever? I guess IS finally feels they hit a balance there after months of correcting for blade tomes and Reinhardt.

Poison Dagger and Kitty Paddle both badly need to apply their debuffs against all targets, rather than just what they hit weakness on. As is if they go up against a team that doesn't have infantry/mages, they're garbage.

Ah, misread that. Yeah that's a much bigger difference in nuking power than before, although the extra Speed is still worth a lot of hidden killing potential.

I'm pretty sure my Adult Tiki will be keeping lightning breath. I may just teach it to Young Tiki since I never invested in a different weapon.

Aura is pretty nice. Linde can be a nice speedy support unit for Tharja or Nino if you want her to. I think I will just keep her bladetome, but it is nice to see mages get something new

Breath of Fog trades DC for more power and super effectiveness against other dragons. Not sure if it also gets the healing benefit, but it's an iffy tradeoff and I love DC, so the only reason people would make the swap is if they need a bulky answer to dragons

The inconsistencies in refinements still irk me. They've generally been good to great, but wtf were they smoking with Leo's, and Karel's/Fir's is lazy
