That crowd was weird in general. I was in the crowd of that show, he did two shows back to back and I was in the second one, I think he spliced footage from both shows but mostly used the first one. To be honest his material just wasn't that good, everybody was excited to see him and eager to laugh but he just didn't deliver. It was pretty awkward when he was railing on fat people for 20 minutes considering TN is one of the fattest states in the union and everybody there was pretty fucking fat. Then the whole Hitler/Stalin bit was way too long and way too boring. It's 2016 and we're making jokes about Hitler? Come on. I think he's in a position where he doesn't really want to talk politics, but everyone expects him to talk politics, and the result is the number of "current events" he can dip into is diminished. Even going back a year or two he always seems reluctant whenever he's on Conan or something and the host asks about his opinion on a political issue.
