Basically, I stopped at Not-Shulk/Emil destroying a parallel earth and recruiting the cat girl.

Also Ive been spoiled that the elf guy betrays the party. I have bad friends. So I guess you can talk about that.

I beat the first star ocean game and then I was playing one on the psp and stopped for a while and when I came back to it I had no earthly idea where I needed to go and there were no hints. So I never completed it.

Reimi, in the players hands, is OP as ****. Also, I actually didn't hate the 'blew up earth' bit. I mean, like it or not Edge was part of blowing up an entire planet of human beings. There are people who develop trauma from accidentally wounding/killing just one person. Imagine a whole planet.

No idea how I even activated it. I know I was in Rush Mode, but it came up when I used a technique.

Aesthically, it reminds me of Blue Dragon, which has a LOT of really fond memories for me. Not the character models, obviously, but the large, expansive world.

Im probably not gonna ever 100% this game unless Im locked in an underground bunker with it, but... its fine. Its... just fine.

It gets way too much undue flack.

IMO, the whole 'blew up Earth' problem could have so easily been resolved with a bit more explanation and detail. I got why he was so freaked (though I didn't get why Reimi was apparently so unable to lead in his absence. One of the important things about being a first officer is being able to take over when needed.) but it clearly needed to show a bit more. I suspect him explaining why he cared so much or, more likely, him explaining a longing and hope for a future Earth without the multitude of problems that his Earth has.

I actually felt more frustrated by Faize turning evil because of that doomsday cult. Yea, sure, you had a connection with them and they clearly tried to show that you cared, but you're response to their murder was to turn to evil and everything? That's... not cool.
