I wasn't a big fan of it when it first came out, but loved the game none the less. The art style has in retrospect helped it age much better.

I never understood the hate for it. Game was phenomenal. Maybe the best in the series prior to BotW. Only flaw both games have is too few dungeons.

I disliked the idea when it was announced, then I played it and it became one of my favorite zelda games.

As far as I remember, that attitude only prevailed until the next one came out and everyone went on and on about how great Wind Waker was. They re-released the game like four times, and people kept buying it, so it's obviously not a popular opinion. It's honestly just a case of 'it's new, so it sucks'.

Another dungeon or two Make it slightly harder The Wii U's fast sail was available on GC. As it stands, the game is amazing. I hated it when it came out and I still hate it now. I bought it solely for the OoT Master Quest disc, but played through it once anyway.

I was reluctant at first. I didn't like the art direction, but Wal Mart had the pre-order OoT disc, which you got when you put down the pre order deposit. Basically you got to buy GC OoT for $20, and got a $20-off coupon for WW. I originally planned to just buy OoT, but decided WW was worth a shot for $30 (I could always trade it in if I hated it).
Turns out I really enjoyed it, and my room mates liked jumping in as Tingle on the GBA and laying bombs all over the place.
