SMB3 is the best one I've played by far. There were a lot of classic series that started here, but stuff like Zelda and Metroid doesn't hold up that well or offer much you can't find in later games. Mario 3, on the other hand is still one of the best and most unique in the series.

Well, they're collectible, but I can't imagine any achieving the stature of a favorite. Rad Racer is playable, and less obnoxious than most.

Adventure of Link. I know the game isn't very popular, but it's just so interesting. Like how even the simple blue Bots have at least four different behavior patterns, and you never know which its going to be. and nothing beats how good it feels when you finally realize the trick behind beating something that until that moment was hellish.
A couple weeks ago I set out to play this game until I won without dying. I can routinely get past every Palace at this point, aside from the last.
